Very fruit forward wine with Grenache, Mataro, and Syrah. As others have said, it is a wonderful aperitif wine, or beautifully paired with foods that complement that palate. Had it with a very interesting beef stew with coconut milk (stew was a variant of eintopf). Paired beautifully.

Beautiful GSM, lots of Mourvèdre for dense purple colour and black elderberries on the palate. Raspberries and plum, with a little mint in the aroma. Great balance and length.

Great early in the night wine. Enjoyed with anti-pasto. Nice red and dark fruit, medium bodied texture, just a hint of acidity and obviously seamless blending.

Decantered for 1 hour, initially great smell on the nose but disappeared on first glass. Well structured, smooth as silk on the palate very well balanced. Many years to go.

Nose dominated by raisins, figs, herbal spices and liquorice. On the palate, medium body, medium acidity, high tannins, high alcohol. More ripe fruit, balanced and less full bodied than your traditional gsm blend. Quite elegant actually. Medium long finish that for the moment is dominated by the tannins and high alcohol but i suspect that that will mellow over time. I was afraid this would be too young but it is quite approachable although it will age well. Certainly interesting but I don't get a huge sense of value for money because at this price point you can drink very decent quality southern Cote du Rhone.

Nose of figs, prune, raisin, dried cherries, floral, violets, lavender, spice licorice notes. Palate is similar to nose. Very ripe, not the most nuanced.

GT Wine Grenache and Grenache Blends (8 Danks street, Sydney): Slight meaty notes vie with perfumed red fruits and sweet spice. Also a little alcohol heat intrudes with these aromas. On the palate it's tangy with drying tannins. The fruit is subsumed beneath this. Nah

Too young, but very impressive. Tight, rustic notes of raspberry, dark plum and something tropical I could not put my finger on (candied orange peel?). Plenty of spice as well. I understood this to be entirely Grenache, but I'm sure there was some Syrah and Mourvèdre in what I tasted. Hold off for another year, and I think owners will be well rewarded.

Only Ruby Red in colour with some purple tones on rim at May 2017. Not as deep as expected. ok Lifted Raspberry/Cherry Grenache like fruit showing on the nose with nice sweet vanilla oak as expected from this House. Trying to be like southern Rhone in style for certain with better timber than the french use in there style. On the palate its only lite to medium bodied with raspberry cherry fruit, nice sweet vanilla oak and long soft tannins which give good long mouthfeel. Considering the vintage , i expected a bigger wine an By Australian standards its a elegant Grenache Blend from Barossa with class an balance . Will live for a few years , but not the class of the other Henschke Reds. Perfect food is Osso Bucco for this wine.

Glass seal. Decanted two hours, served low 60'sF
On nose and palate not a traditional Barossa. Excellent balance despite 14.5% abv
Red fruit, lean spice, easy tannins

A boring GMS blend that lacks aromatic expression. Balance is OK. Not again!
