I especially like this wine for its value. In some places I can find it under $12. The red berry fruit notes are balanced by a light earthiness and, in turn, bright acidity. A solid value Pinot.

Cherry, raspberry, good minerality and acidity, some vanilla and some herbs. This was best with our raw sashimi tuna and our lightly-seared tuna (both from Thailand), which really improved the wine. It was also good with our Atlantic salmon sashimi and our grilled Atlantic salmon.
While it is not the most profound wine ever, we paid $9 and it is great VALUE for that $ -- and a pinot noir. (If a $9 PN is drinkable that is amazing to me). Much better with seafood one would have in New Zealand (plus the salmon). Low alcohol at 12%, too. (Alas, I don't think it will pair with Indian food).
Would I rebuy? Maybe 1-2 bottles to have with seared tuna. But definitely not a bad wine. Drink now / soon.

Most of the reviews are around 88 and that is where we landed. It took a while for this to open up (needs lots of air), but it is 100% varietally correct, has some depth and character, but at $9.99 at Costco, WT_? Think Wine Spectator overshot it at 90, but still great QPR wine, what I call a Tuesday night wine. Lots of cherry and vanilla, the style is very much on the lighter side (we prefer bolder style) , but I rarely downgrade for style, I consider whether it is a reflection of the varietal and how it ended up. For the price, a no-brainer and it is drinking well now, just needs air - decant, breathe, popnpour will be a disappointment. Drink this year or early next. See this as great with Thanksgiving turkey leftovers, NOT on Thanksgiving day, you can and should do better.

How has anyone rated this a 90? WS obviously had a different wine than I had. WAY over acid that it dominated everything in your mouth. 72. I then tasted it with a very high-vinegar salad and it actually was ok but still no where near a 90. There were some nice dry cherry and earthiness in the wine but still only rated an 84 take an average to be nice --- 78. This was not a flawed bottle; it was a badly made bottle.
Bought this at a local wine shop by me. Strawberries and cherries on the nose. Medium/light bodied but very intreresting leather and spice notes. Very elegant Pinot for a reasonable price.

The color shimmers nicely in the glass. Bright nose with oak intermingling with red fruit. Touch of heat on nose otherwise would rate it a bit higher. Palate really mirrors the nose. Acidity is light to medium. Comes off as a little thin.

This is a very nice, everyday $10 wine (Costco). Good with food. Light (12.5% alcohol) and easy drinking. Better that any under $20 heavy and over-oaked California Pinot Noir. A real bargain. This is the way a Pinot Noir is supposed to taste.

I need to add to my recent note, that I tasted the remaining wine a few days later, and it was much more drinkable. I could actually enjoy drinking this with the right food. The wine was less "lean and mean", but still pretty thin. For $10, the wine isn't too bad. Just let it breathe until you think it is drinkable!

This wine tasted like a cheap, lean, mean Bourgogne without the terroir. Since I didn't save the bottle, I'm not sure of the vintage, but it was a recent purchase from Costco. If I had any left, I would have returned it to get my $10 back.
This is a lovely, light bodied red wine. The straightforward cranberry and cherry flavors are well balanced by the high acidity. The wine relies on acid rather than tannins to keep it honest. There are no obvious traces of oak aging. While not very complex, the wine is a good value at $10.

Served blind. Pale ruby with an aged garnet rim and a slightly oxidized nose. Light woody cherry flavors, I thought this was a 10+ year old rioja. Looks like my bottle was different from other notes. That aside it was light, elegant, lean with enough acidity to accompany dinner

87 is a gift. Another wine I should have scored lower..... This wine is a mash up, mix up, blend that lacks anything resembling specificity, medium to light bodied, Z-noir that aims to offend no one and delight even less. Acids, taught fruit, a hint of wood. Ok so what's the what?
I wish I had bought it at Costco for $10. I paid $12. :-( And Wine Spectator gave this a 90? Huh.

Got to agree with others....performs above price point. Paid $10 at Costco. Wine is dark cranberry but looks more transluscent while poured, aromatics muted red cherry, in the mouth the wine is light with acid a tad high. Fruit is clean and very bright. Finishes clean. Nothing distracting but nothing exceptional or otherwise noteworthy. Etoh 12.5%. Wish every restaurant had this wine by the glass for $5.

Great wine for its price. Significantly better than its price point
Somewhat light in flavor when first opened, but takes about 10-15 minutes for the flavor to evolve.
Medium weight with crisp and balanced flavors of raspberry, cherry and spice. Well balanced flavors and complexity that is a nice surprise at this price point. Better than many Pinot noir that I have had at 3x this price.
Will need to go back and grab a case of this - great for a daily drinker and would even serve to a crowd that is picky about their wine.

Bought this at Costco $8.99 per bottle. Smooth tannins, just a tad of funk, light ruby color, reminiscent of a young Burgundy, slight sourness on the palate at first, much better once aired. Compared to the average California Pinot, not too sweet, better balance overall. I bought 2 bottles initially, drank one , went back to get a full case while still available. Excellent PQR, highly recommended.

At under $10 a bottle, I didn't expect much - maybe a gloppy mess with an artificial taste. What a pleasant surprise! This has very similar characteristics to a Bourgogne made by a decent Burgundy producer. The medium body, medium acidity, and red fruit (cranberry, pomegranate, and a hint of under-ripe strawberry) are WAY too balanced to be this cheap, making this a QPR slam dunk. It has a purity and preciseness that most domestic (i.e. West Coast of the US) Pinot Noir just doesn't have until at least the $40+ level. Wonderful color and clarity, particularly for a bottle this inexpensive, with a nose that shows the classic traits of tart red fruit with the minutest whiff of herbs like sage and bay leaf.
Day 2 - Pretty much the same as the first night; just a bit tamer on the acidity. The fruit has dropped off ever so slightly, which makes the herbal element a touch more noticeable. The wife took a sip and approved, especially since it was only $10.
$10. That's it. Actually, $9.98 at WineWorks. No kidding - click on the "Where to Buy" link and you'll see I'm not joking when wine-searcher.com backs me up. Ten measly dollars!

This is not only a pretty good pinot, it is also available at a stunning price (sub $8) at my local Costco. Highly recommend this wine for anyone who is reluctant to try pinots because the "good" ones are pricey. Good fruit, balanced with a medium finish. No rough spots--very smooth.

The key to this wine is lots of air. Starts out highly acidic with tart, crunchy red fruits. With air it takes on a whole other dimension. Raspberry, bramble, smoke, pepper. Drinking more like a Amador County Zinfandel. Juicy, spicy and complex. Great QPR for $9. Drink now with lots of air.

The wine looks salmon colored. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like red currant, raspberry, cherry, lead pencil and smokey bacon. It tastes like cranberry and strawberry. The body is light. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has high acidity.

PNP. Wine is clear with no sediment. Typical Pinot color. Nose of cherry, Strawberry. Bright acid on the pallette. Tart Cherries, rhubarb, Strawberries. Med Tannins, no noticeable heat. 12.5% Alcohol. Acidity softens with air the fruit comes out. Good QPR for $9

Very refreshing Pinot! Bright red with salmon colored edges. Cherries on the nose. Mixed red berries on palate with a hint of earth and mineral. Unmistakable strawberry finish. Great qpr, buy more! 89-90.
