A Lea and Sandeman purchase. PM and CH from 7 villages in the Marne Valley. Fine, vigorous mousse. Savoury/umami aromatics with somewhat lean white fruits. Frisky acidity on the palate but decent balance overall and good length. Nice if undistinguished

Bought in a specialist French beer shop as fancied some fizz as well and this was almost all they had. Wasn’t expecting much but enjoyable enough. Had some light bread / yeast on the nose. Light in colour, clean and fresh with some apple. A bit lightweight, short finish and lean with it. Priced around 24 euros a bottle so very much at the lower end and does pretty well given this arena.

Champagne Baron Albert tasting (Oinoscent): The wine is a blend of 73% Pinot Meunier, 16% Chardonnay, 11% Pinot Noir. Base vintage is 2017 and reserved wine of 2016. The grapes come from 7 villages in Marne Valley. Winemaking in inox vats. Ageing 2-3 years in cellar.
The wine shows pure, crystal clear and fresh nose, creamy, ripe fruit with rich palate, citrus fruit, a few yeast and floral notes and long finish. Excellent value, punching above its weight

Easter Wines with Family (Rocknroller's (Kevin & Vicki's Place)): Light gold color. Drank 2 glasses over 45 minutes. First time trying this particular cuvee. There are similarities to the Brut Tradidtion. This has green apple, mineral, a foamy mousse; on the palate citrus with some grapefruit, a touch sour on the back end. This seemed to be more focused on the second glass with a good attack and a clean finish. This might be a tiche of a step up from the Tradition. 89+ to 90pts.

Clean, attractively priced, lacks a little in depth/complexity

Relatively fruity. Clearly to the feminine side.
