  • Decanted for a couple of hours. Quite a dark purple but medium weight. A very expressive nose, plenty of crunchy peppery fruit and lovely acidity. Some fine tannins. Still some upside here but lovely to drink now

  • Initially a (reductive) struck match note which faded with time. Lingonberries, pomegranate, liquorice, a green hint, dark minerality and some paint bucket (within balance). Overall, a quaffable yet structured wine, I had my expectations set too high though, but don’t get me wrong, this is a really nice wine. I’m not sure this has the stuffing for any long-time cellaring, and it’s wide open now, the question is - was it even better a couple of years ago?

  • Cherry, raspberry, licorice, olives, salty. Quite smoothly structured but with good acidity. Some reduction as always with Envinate but drinking well straight out of the bottle. Didn’t quite wow me like the Camino Novo in the same vintage.

  • Slightly reduced and muted on the nose. Quickly decanted and drank over 2 hours. This wine is all balance, elegance, mouthfeel and energetic acidity. Crazy mouthwatering finish. Mid weight with so much verve. And yes that granite aspect other have mentioned is there too. One of those rare wines I would buy in cases if I could find it. Drink now or hold.

  • At pop and pour, black pepper, cherry and very mineral. Medium body, medium/- tannin. Lots of granite notes to the palate. Not reduced at pop and pour, which is nice. Lavender on the palate with a 45 minutes of air. Really nice with some air, after very pepper at pnp.
Day 2 and celery seed really jumps out. Cherry 7-Up with a celery stick swizzle.

  • Chiseled, lifted, precise, and a beautiful granite crunch. All the things you'd want this wine to be.
