Well made but only a modest wine. The right flavors are there in some degree, the balance and structure were adequate, although the use of a background residual sugar only accented the lack of distinction. Not a value.

Nearly translucent golden-hued grain in color. Lightly citrus-forward with an accompaniment of pear and dried apricot on the nose. Flint and dill appear on the palate. This is a subtle Sauvignon Blanc, not as tart and biting as many others. Intensely enjoyable and pairs well with a charcuterie platter, providing some balance to heavier meats and joining cheeses like parmesean and brie.

Very balanced and crisp. Flavors are a little softer than what I would expect from a California Sauv Blanc. Still, you could do a lot worse. Finish is smooth and tart and fairly long.

Subtle, blond sugar-cookie in color with a hint of lemongrass in color. On the nose, green pepper, wet stone, with a sniff of cut grass. Very light on the palate - joyful and vibrant when served nicely chilled, with a brief appearance of honeysuckle.

The wine looks blonde colored. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like lemon and dust, a type of mild, smelly sock. It tastes sharp and acidic at first. The body is light. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium with a slight flinty aftertaste. The wine has high acidity.

Made with organic fruit, using no irrigation, this is Old School in style. The nose evokes unripe apricots, yellow stonefruit, citrus, and white flowers. Minerally and crisp in the mouth, very elegant, with lovely weight, texture, and balance. Lime pith, river rocks, and a hint of cyanic peach pit linger on the crunchy finish. Delicious.

With this vintage, Frog's Leap remains true to its style. For many years, their Sauvignon Blanc has been sourced entirely from dry-farmed, organically grown vineyards within the Rutherford appellation. Comprised of 100% Sauvignon Blanc fermented and aged in stainless steel, these wines seek to strike a nice fruit/herbal balance, supported by fresh acidity and unassuming levels of alcohol. This is all in place here. Pale yellow and vibrant, the 2016 iteration offers citrus, stone fruit, mineral and floral elements, complimented with accents of chervil and chives. Light bodied and seamlessly alcoholic (12.8%), it is impressively solid on the mid-palate. Going on to finish with verve and medium length, this style beautifully highlights the positive qualities of the grape as grown in California. Drink now-2019.

Pale straw. Very pretty and elegant with ripe grapefruit and passionfruit aromas complicated by notes of crunchy radish, lime leaf and basil. Round and soft for the varietal on the palate, this is pretty rather than sharp, succulent rather than juicy, finishing long with citrus pith, lemongrass and mineral flavors.

Eh, a quaffer, nothing to special here. Typical Napa SB.
Honig is a better buy.

PHMG WAG Parent-Child Pairs (CabS vs. Franc) (Mom and Dad Lyon's): Fairly rich for a sauv blanc, this bottle housed a wine with notes of white citrus, melon, stone fruit, and minerals. Crisp and fun. Now-2021.

Crisp with highlights of lemon, pineapple & honeydew. Long finish with high acidity. Well paired with cod cakes & vinegar slaw.
