A Margaux at Margaux's Table (Margaux's Table, White Bear Lake, MN): Medium darl-red color. PNP, drank a small glass over an hour. The nose shows vanilla, ripe cherry, hints of minerality and spice. The palate shows ripe cherry, ferrous minerality, spice and somewhat firm tannins. Young still, has a little upside, give it 2 to 3years.

This has lost some of its baby fat and has a bit more mineral and earth on the nose now; still has good density for a village cru and is overall quite tasty.

This is really tasty and still drinking quite young. Fresh red berry fruits, some sanguine hints and a bit of damp earth and spice; with air some black tea and floral notes emerge. The palate is fresh and vibrant with very solid depth for a village level; doesn't have the texture and depth of the Fourrier VV drank a couple days ago, but actually has more freshness. This should continue to evolve well for several years.

If drinking now, you must decant for at least 1 hour. It gets so much better with some air. Once opened, it has great bing cherry and red raspberry fruit laced with minerals with a silky smooth finish. A few more years in the cellar will help.

Very good village wine. Great nose that is fully open. Ripe dark berry fruits, game meat, sanguine hints, floral and underbrush with a bit of black tea. The palate has good freshness and balance. Great with food. Maybe lacks a bit of mid palate density compared to the top village level wines but really quite good

Deep garnet in color but with a good bit of clarity. The nose features roast cranberry and cherry, tea, mushroom and wood in the background.
The wine enters the palate quietly and slowly and then opens to cherry cola, floral, and herbal notes on the mid-palate. Soft tannins and light acidity.

1 hour decant recommended to allow the aromas to unfold. This is a very pure expression of Burgundy with mineral laced bright cherry flavors with very clean lines. This will put on more weight with a few more years in bottle.

Somewhat muted scents. Some vanilla and cherries. Flavour wise the tannins and acid are front and center. After a few seconds some raspberry and violets show up. Might be best to let these hang for another 2-5 years.

Nice village gevrey with deep dark fruit upfront with earthy/ leathery nuances in the background in a mineral frame. Medium to full bodied with good structure and high acidity, tart and dry with good length.

Medium ruby red colour. Medium nose with red cherry, leather, tobacco, black pepper, licorice and minerals. Medium taste of red cherry, tobacco, leather, licorice, black pepper and minerals. Long and dry finish. Medium (+) acidity. Light tannins. Medium body. A very good Gevrey-Chambertin that could be enjoyed now or stored for at least ten years. Give it an hour on a decanter if enjoyed now. Goes well with pork or veal.

Consistent with prior notes. Shy on the nose, but good once it gets going in the glass. Lighter than expected, both in color and on the palate. Short, tart finish. Needs more time to integrate.

Still young. Kind of a fruit forward, leathery, spicy, red berries kind of wine. To me, not yet balanced, with tannins still unresolved, medium to full bodied with plenty of acidity, and a bit of a bite on the end. This has good material for the price and should definitely improve with time.

Needs a lot of air (actually decanted through an aerator). It's definitely on the sauvage side of villages, nothing delicate here, but the structure and chewiness paired well with a NY strip steak.

Quite full, fresh and crunchy for a village wine with lovely dark cherry fruit and lots of Gevrey ferrous minerals on the succulent finish. Delicious now but has the stuffing to age 5 more years or beyond.

They have very good contracts in Gevrey and they make a goodly amount of Gevrey. And that is a classically style Gevrey. Black fruit, power yet tension across the palate,

Fragrances of red fruits, with a slight floral backdrop; medium-light body, firm acids, juicy; light tannins and light finish; prominent wood. It's a smooth entry-level Burgundy that I would like to taste again in a few years to see if it develops a bit more complexity and body.

great bouquet, drank in Charleston at Charleston Grill, $115, medium bodied, lots of fruit for a Burgundy, good structure , not the most complex but one of the better red burgundies that I have tried, no need to make excuses for this wine , drank with much room cavatelli and sturgeon, would drink again if I had a chance, different than the Oregon Drouhin wines.

Opened up after an hour. Initially very tight then cherries, floral notes, herbs and minerals with fresh acidity to balance it.

Delicious, intense and a bit spicy Pinot Noir aromas. Reminded of a Vosne. Intense and concentrated. Great for a Village.

Red fruited, floral, cinnamon/spice and mineral notes. Held up well, and became rounder and softer over a couple days. We both enjoyed it.
