Needed air and time to open up. Floral, curry powder, turmeric, and a hint of rotting fruit on the nose. Less defined on the palate, which is floral and sweet. Finish lingers.

Drank over a week. Shifted and deepened as fruit got richer and honey layer sang a bit more, otherwise I'd go with profile and assessment from JANJ. Improved with air time as it was initially muted nose. The palate was more mineral initially, and that was fine, but as the fruit layer came on it seemed to show better and longer. A tad sweeter than I expected even as it was a Kabinett, and a bit less acid perhaps. Interesting to read REISLINGHOARDER note, as this bottle did not show the range and complexity described there.

Very moreish and delicious. White orchard fruit and ripe pear are wrapped in honey with an overtone of sponti coming through on the nose. Not the best complex but simply irresistible with its honey-scented fruits.

Consumed from a Zalto Universal glass. Opened side-by-side with a 2016 Schloss Lieser Piesporter Goldtropfchen Riesling Kabinett.
Prominent sponti and petrol, with a little Kaffir lime and wet stone in the background on the nose. The palate is lively with flavors of white peach, pear, greengage, vanilla, and stony minerality. Light on the palate, with good balance of sweetness and acidity, but the wine seemed to "drop out" a little on the finish. Regardless, there are enjoyable herbal and orchard fruit tones on the finish to make up for it. I find compared to the Goldtropfchen, this is more elegant, linear, and focused.

Popped and poured at fridge temp. A good dose of kerosene on the nose, with yellow fruits and a bit of chalk. The palate shows fine acidity with good yellow apples and a touch of sweetness. Very tasty!

My 7th or 8th Lieser and the first one that I actually like.
Reminds me a bit of the JJ Prüm style, probably cause the herbal note is strong, and there is some petrol as well. Felt fully mature to me (perhaps even a bit more so than 2016 would suggest). Quite intensive for a kabinett.
The sweet component is more pronounced than with Prüm‘s kabinetts, but it is still good and the overall feel is quite well balanced, I'd say the relative sweetness is still below Mosel Kabinett average.
A thoroughly satisfying experience and I would guess that people who have at least a little understanding of riesling should be fairly happy with this.
Don‘t remember the cost, see fair value somewhere 14-16 EUR-ish (in a "Mosel prices in Germany"-context).

Wine goes great with or without food. Slightly sweet but not over bearing. Crisp, nicely balanced, medium bodied. Best on a hot day when you are looking for a nice crisp slightly sweet wine. Had with asian food-- terrific wine! Although this has a lot of time to drink, we are enjoying it now.

Tasted at the winery. Like the Graacher Himmelreich kabinett, this wine has a reductive nose. Some lemon, white peach, green melon, and spice. Soft on the palate, more prominent notes of lemon, and green apple.

Very light straw yellow with green highlights. Tight, pungent and rubbery on pour, with hint of spritz. Opens to reveal delicate white fruit, melon, with delightful hints of orange and a line of green herbs. On palate we find a relaxed, comforting sweetness, just enough acidity, all wrapping ripe mandarines and hints of green herbs, some green appel emerging with time. Delicate and seductive, but veers dangerously close to being a touch too soft

The nose was incredibly fresh with minerals and notes of post-fermentation funk in the foreground, followed by dried flowers and ripe peaches. On the palate, I found soft textures with sweet and sour apple, floral peach and hints of spice. It finished long with notes of ripe apple, contrasted by a sour-patch lemony sensation of acid and sweetness. It’s more of a fun wine that a showstopper and really packs a punch.

The German Crush Tour; 10/8/2017-10/16/2017: yellow peaches dominate the nose on this big kabinett. mid is ripe with peach and citrus notes, with stone still hiding underneath. finishes with lemon zest and some power. quite good already though will benefit from age.

Tasted after The "basic" Riesling Kabinett, Juffer shows a bit more weight and concentration, a bit more depth maybe. Well balanced with good acidity. 91-92+
