Nice wine, coming into its own now. On the savoury side, with good balance. Dark cherry, plum, spice and earthy notes. Decent length. All in all this is in a good place, but with a little room to improve.

Bottle brought from the cellar to drink during afternoon service at Oinoscent. shift at Oinoscent. Bright colour, beautiful in the nose with red cherry notes but mostly it was all about earthy and spicy notes with bits of smoke here and there. Smooth in the palate with round velvety tannins and balancing acidity, ending with medium to long finish. It showed potential too, I'd easily let it sit for 5 more years, but it was damn tasty now. Outstanding

Nose rather muted, some red cherries, but somewhat lacking in depth. I think this may be too young. 2nd day, a little sour aftertaste. I'll leave the second bottle for a couple of years.

Heavenly Haven. This vineyard thrives in the warmer vintages. Deep blackish scarlet hue. Nose of violets, cranberry and black cherry. Subtle hints of smoke, spice and tobacco on day 2. Tart cherry palate with a long smokey oaky finish. It's all about the acidity with this wine. Beautiful, keep, buy more.

Mornington Peninsula (Prince Sydney, 40 Hansard Street): Medium minus intensity aromas of stalks, slight sour red currant but also cream and, with time, black fruits and a savoury almost peppery spiced note. In the mouth it's juicy and the fruit is wrestling with quite aggressive tannins…and…wins…travels long, has potential, for me.

Mornington & Yarra Valley Trip Jan 2018; 3/31/2021-4/2/2021: red cherry, light spice, a really gentle feminine, lovely gear!
