Corked. This was purchased on release and properly stored. Very high levels of TCA. Such a shame. Another promising bottle of white Burgundy poured down the drain.

Consistent with previous note, but I wonder if this would benefit from extended aeration, as towards the end of the bottle it was developing substantially more interest, with layers of smoke and cinder toffee.

As with previous note this is really complete - a hint of everything you would want in a Chardonnay - apples, butter, cinnamon, spice, vanilla. Perhaps it’s not entirely knit together, but still very classy. Not worth the price but that’s Burgundy for you.

A really complete and exemplary chardonnay. Bright in the glass. Perfect balance between soft vanilla oak, soft stone fruits, honey; an initial whiff of chlorine blew off quickly giving way to honeycomb and toast. Really complete, delicate yet firm. Just very well balanced all round.

Nose is very citrusy with undertones of butter and some tangerine. Palate is very crisp with somewhat over the top lime accentuated with bitter butter.

Wonderful nose of lemon curd, pop corn and some butter and vanilla. The palate is lighter and more crisp and racy as the Meursault-esque nose suggests. Great freshness and balance. I really like this producer’s 1er Crus. They are in a sweet spot of white Burg QPR.

Super nice and balanced - massive depth and length - what you expect of a great La Folatierre...great nose and mouthfeel - medium butter notes - nice white burg

The very decadent exquisitely beautiful (in small portions) face of white Burgundy. Like a steakhouse dessert. From a good steakhouse. Think creme brûlée, burnt sugar, lychee, mango, passion fruit.
Rich and creamy, deep and all together as one. Good acid to stand firm.
Married perfectly with Rogue Rive Blue (best cheese in the world - look it up)

Second Sunday Group: Geja's Cafe format (Marty's): Double blind. Pale color. Bright citrusy fruit to start, along with a hint of orchard fruit. Orchard fruit and melon along with a slight bitter note in the finish. Noticeable acidity. On the first pass, a few varieties came to mind. The longer this sat, the more the orchard fruit came forward and the chardonnay qualities began to reveal themselves, though it remains very light-bodied for chard. During group discussion a few of us settled on France rather than CA, so i picked up four points from the group discussion period. A few tasters still were not convinced this was chardonnay, and I can see why. Guessed chardonnay 2015 Jadot Maconnais.

Homage at Travail: Worthy Wines (Travial/ Faux Auriga, Mpls): Light medium gold color. PNP, drank a glass plus over an hour. Riveting on the nose and palate. Filled with vivacious tangerine, orange blossom, Meyer lemon, with an exotic flare. Incredibly bright on the noe and palate, sparkling acidity and freshness. Steely minerals on the palate, ripe bright tangerine and lemon, , great acid, wow. Can't put this down. Like a Hollywood starlet lighting up the red carpet. 93+ to 94pts.

good bright medium yellow color, inviting nose of apples and pears with some tropical hints, sweet oranges, a strong presence of soft rounded stones, on the palate quite viscous with ripe fruits, baked bread notes and firm white acids leading into a long and slightly tart finish, an attractive and somewhat lusty Puligny that- for the moment- appears to have traded some of its usual finesse for a bit more heft than expected, a good wine- possibly very good with some bottle age. *(**)+, 2022+

Deep lemon colour. Medium+ intensity on the nose with aromas of lemon, banana, mango, butter, hazelnut, toast, charred wood and coffee. Dry, medium acidity, medium alc., full-body, pronounced flavour intensity with flavours of lemon, butter, toast and coffee and a long finish. Outstanding - can drink now, but has potential for ageing.

Tasty rich and somewhat fat apple/tropical fruit layered with lots of minerality. Definitely exotic but balanced out with lots of stone. Fine and very long.

Lovely glass of Montrachet. This wine has a golden straw yellow color. On the nose I pick up, peaches, citrus, and honey with hints of white pepper. The mouthfeel of this wine is so smooth. It has a very mineral taste that makes me think of stone and salt. At the finish I taste just a little "smokey-action" which I'm quite intrigued by - I just love when whites tend to be fruity on the nose and savory with minerality on the palete.

Now that has some fruit weight and ripeness in the discourse of Paul pernot. And not in a fruity Way. So more dry extract on the nose. And on the palate. Rounded but not lacking for precision. Very smart and delicious. Long and warm.

Muted nose and flavor profile relative to Pucelles opened with it for comparison. Suggest, as others have noted, to let it breathe for an hour plus.

Tasted at a 2016 vintage tasting of the domaine.
Colour: "Butter" yellow.
Bouquet: Pronounce bouquet w. peaches, star anise, pears and celery.
Palate: Juicy w. sweetness and harmonious acidity. Lemon remonce, cream, semi-soft cowmilk's cheese, salt and green leaves.
