Group of us finished off a nice evening with this after an Alsace Muscat and Italian Amarone. Nice smokey spicy/peppery quality with a lot of fruit as well.

86 on day one... 90 on day 2... score is average of both. This is more than mature for what it is and needs to be consumed soon with a healthy decant. Dark fruit, sweet spices,.

Beautiful aromas of big bold fruit and spice. Followed up by slightly thin flavors and thin mouth feel. Very earthy overall like a fine Bordeuax but just lacks a little substance and follow through.

Purple with a red tinge. Peppery and dusty nose with raspberry, blackberry. Delicious fruit focuses on the dark side, blackberry, plum. A hint of black licorice (anise?). Tannins are very soft and smooth. There is a bit too much heat on the finish. That's the only part that's a little out of balance. Overall I like this a lot, though.

This started off unbelievable fruity and jammy, almost like a zinfandel with flavors of blackberry and very small hints of spice. It calmed down as it was opened for longer and was very nice as the spice started to take more control. It had a dark purple color, wasn't too acidic, and had a long finish. I enjoyed it.

Brought to the new Delorenzo's in Lawrenceville. Popped and poured and I think that Stampy's note of "stewed fruits" on the nose is spot on. Lots of strawberry throughout the palate, and a smooth, not very spicy, supple tannic finish. All in all, still a good QPR, and I'm sure we'll drink many more of these over the winter.

Very nice expressive nose with floral notes and rich syrah typicity. Mouthfeel was lighter than expected. Medium-high acidity, light-medium body, moderate tannins. This is a nice syrah and a good value. If it had a little more weight it would be a fantastic value.

Had this in a restaurant with a chicken pot pie (not the best match I know, but was splitting the bottle with 2 others) - popped and poured.Pleasant if unremarkable wine with a smooth mouthfeel of red fruits. Fairly lightbodied for a syrah, had a little pepper or spice on the finish. Nice tannins, that would lead me to believe this could age for a bit. Pretty good for the price.

Berry fruit and spice on the nose. Light body, mostly blueberry and blackberry on the palate; fruit forward with a touch of spice and tannin on the back end.

Popped and poured. Great intriguing nose with hints of a pinot type barnyard funk, fresh stawberries and a little clove. Light in the mouth for a syrah. Cherries on the palate with big lush strawberries bursting through on the midpalate with a carryover of the funk. Strawberries got stronger and stronger as it opened up. Not much tannin but decent tanic grip on the finish. Didnt detect much spice, which I would have expected. Great QPR for $14. Not a wine for cellaring.

BoTtle has been open for 36 hrs. Just writing tns now.no perceivable oxidation yet. Somewhat muted aromatics could be my glass .vanilla, pepper, and a raspberry-cherry twizzler fruit on the nose. Chewy texture with moderate tannic grip on mid palate.A great balance between fruit, acid, tannin and weight.BALANCED! Predominant flavors of cranberry and cherries with a pop of pepper on the transition from mid palate to finish. The finish is somewhat short and a little bitter. This wine was doing great until the finish. This will be interesting to see with some age.IMO a nice qpr at 15.I admire lindquist for making wine in this style in the face of bigger central coast syrahs that receive high parker scores.

Blinded by the Wine (Farpointe Cellar): The nose had black currant, pepper, and roasted herbs. The palate was smooth, with raspberry, plum, and spice. The finish was good.

Yummy! Rich nose of plum. Dark garnet colored. Put-a-smile-on-your-face red wine. Concentrated berry and plum fruit with a touch of leather on the finish. A tiny touch of sweetness on the front of the palate and smooth tannins on the finish. Very nice with our little grilled ribeye steaks that had received a latin rub. I want more. 13.5% alco (D 6, F 6; Cent)

deep dark purple garnet color. tight nose. aromas of berries, plum, pepper and spice - hints of cloves and cinamon, bit of the 13.5% alcohol showing through, also some earthy notes, even a hint of graham cracker. full bodied, rich mouthfeel, big dry bitter tannins, nice structure and complexity, good finish. might soften up a bit with some cellaring.

Nice relatively simple syrah. Fruity and light bodied, this was versatile enough to go with a mixed grill of bacon wrapped filet, grilled shrimp and spice rubbed salmon.

This wine is NOT ready to drink. Needs more bottle aging. Nice concentrations. Classic syrah fruit, but still bit harsh with acidity and tannins. With some age, this will become a beautiful wine.

The coloring was a dark ruby that you could see through when held against a light. The nose had some initial grassiness when poured that dissapated after about 15-30 minutes. Flavors of blackberry, pepper and cassis, carried by a layer of tannins which never disappeared over the course of about 3 hours. This could be a good bottle in 3-4 years if the tannins drop.

Kavana Wine Tasting: Varietals around the world (Seattle, WA): Blackberry compote on the nose. The palate is a wealth of round, friendly blueberry and blackberry. Pleasing, round and authentic with a peppery finish. Not sweet or overdone. Just a really nice Cali-Syrah.
