A very sophisticated nose, with nectarines and minerals, along with a touch of salt and must. The palate is more acidic than the nose would lead you to believe, with lemon and stone flavors. The finish is short, but some of the minerality lingers. Great seafood wine.

Just the right amount of crispness and acidity, a little roundness in the pallet but one wishes for a tad smoother and longer finish. flavors of light honey, spice and underripe mellon. Its kinda hard to flavor profile it because the short finish clamps down. Not an aperitif wine (this vintage of it) but probably better with typical "white-wine" appetizers. This review was 2nd day, which was better than the 1st. Maybe some age is needed.

PnP. The nose only yielded some minerality, no fruit. On the medium bodied palate, the minerality, citrus and bright acidity were dominant, with only hints of nectarine. Well suited for a dish of angel hair pasta, with shrimp, in a white garlic sauce. Should hold for a couple of years.

Tart, lots of acid, good fruit, a touch of alcohol taste but balanced, light in body, refreshing and drinks easily, drank with tuna and cous cous, will drink again.

Tasted blind next to the 2017 Palmina Vermentino. (We knew that one was Tablas and the other Palmina and had had both of them at separate times in the past and are much more familiar with Tablas.)
The Tablas shows its tell-tale flinty minerality and taut body along with light touches of citrus zest, white flower blossoms, which contrasts with the more somewhat riper, rounder, floral style of the Palmina, which exhibits more texture, particularly with some air. Both are fine efforts and label 13.0 abv, both work as aperitif wines or would work with fish or shellfish. My preference is the Tablas, which I find a bit classier and more refined (if Vermentino is allowed those descriptors!)
Both wines are best on PnP and with just a bit of air, neither benefits from extended air contact.
Even ~1/4 of a bottle left overnight was nice the second night. This is not as mineral-inflected as I've liked in recent Tablas vintages, but it is still another winner. Lively and slightly rounded ripe fruit and a nice finish.
Always a great casual drinker. Softer than the 2016, which was more nervy, but this still has fine grapefruit, floral flavors. Good for apéritif or food.

Similar to my 4/25/18 notes. Very much in the citrus spectrum, with lots of lemon and grapefruit zest and pure creek stones. Perfect with a Caprese salad and grilled bread. Drink now to 2019. (= Worth Seeking Out)

Fantastic Vermentino... Rich, full nose of ripe nectarine. In the month, stone fruit again but very bright with a lanolin mid. Very precise, stoney, sweet finish.

Very nice white. Pale gold with a white flower nose. Pretty. Excellent balance of fruit and acid. White peach, pear. A real beauty and would be an excellent accompaniment to fish. 4-12-16-8: 90/100

Enjoyed the bottle, crisp, good fruit, some complexity with excellent structure, nice fruit with acid to balance, lots of flavor but on the light side, drank with flounder and oysters, would drink again. Interesting grape .

Not as acidic and crisp as many of the typical TCV Vermentino's. Really nice fruit up front, however. I am saving some for another night and see what I think about it then.

(Tasted at the winery) Fresh and very lively, in contrast to the more viscous, almost savory Roussanne served before it. Citrus zest at the front end and minerals and peach skin at the back end. Waiting to be served alongside grilled shrimp or scallops. Drink 2018-2019. ( = Worth Seeking Out)

Cotton candy and pineapple on the nose. Great acidity with a touch of grapefruit rind on the palate.
Not quite Italian, but retains a sense of place from Paso.
Love this!

Really not much to add to other recent comments here. What another nice Vermentino from Tablas Creek!
Aside: Does anyone know of any other U.S. producers making a varietal Vermentino at this level of quality?
