A delicate and dusty dance of chalk. Wet pebbles after a summer rain. Eventually, just barely, stone fruit poking out. I get apricot. Maddy says maybe. Then must and smoke, a touch of an astringent aftertaste in the throat. Sadly, felt closed, so we’ll revisit. @ Torrisi

Delicious now, although it will be fascinating to watch this age, the 2016 Blanc is straw yellow, with a limpid, rich texture. The nose is honeyed, showcasing yellow Cape gooseberry and Lingonberry aromas, lemon curd, bitter orange marmalade. Almost shockingly concentrated, with the fruit and acids balanced yet intense, touch of bitterness on the endless finish. My wife finds this a bit too concentrated right now, but I love it. On the other hand, I had salmon tonight, and she went for shrimp...

Baby white Rhône is a completely different species than when mature. I like it just as much, maybe better than most. Light yellow daisy color. Delicate aroma of lemon, pit fruit and mineral, much more shy than aged versions. Just bordering medium weight on the palate. Somehow the whole is more attractive than the parts. Crisp and tasty, thirst quenching and satisfying. Delicious.

Lay2red, rich, but very balanced; it has gras, fat fruit, honey-notes, citrus, minerals, a very typical white Hermitage, but tasted vis-avis a dozen others, this stands out, Chave works on a different level (white Chapoutiers is an exception )... #HermitageFest#Tain

Gobsmackingly gorgeous.needed 30 mins airtime to fatten.
Weighty oily and pure. Precise, waxy, punctuated and powerful. Amazing.

Much more subdued than before, quiet, very nice though.
