A delicate and dusty dance of chalk. Wet pebbles after a summer rain. Eventually, just barely, stone fruit poking out. I get apricot. Maddy says maybe. Then must and smoke, a touch of an astringent aftertaste in the throat. Sadly, felt closed, so we’ll revisit. @ Torrisi

Delicious now, although it will be fascinating to watch this age, the 2016 Blanc is straw yellow, with a limpid, rich texture. The nose is honeyed, showcasing yellow Cape gooseberry and Lingonberry aromas, lemon curd, bitter orange marmalade. Almost shockingly concentrated, with the fruit and acids balanced yet intense, touch of bitterness on the endless finish. My wife finds this a bit too concentrated right now, but I love it. On the other hand, I had salmon tonight, and she went for shrimp...

Gobsmackingly gorgeous.needed 30 mins airtime to fatten.
Weighty oily and pure. Precise, waxy, punctuated and powerful. Amazing.
