Gorgeous classic aged napa nose. Dried cherry & currant fruit enveloped by bramble, green tobacco, cedar, earl grey, espresso and cocoa powder. Quite a mouthful still, with good flavors and mouthfeel across the palate. Quite delicious and shows the staying power of napa but the finish is drying up, especially compared to last bottle. This one is definitely on the downswing. Still great though. Hopefully just bottle variation but I’ll probably be drinking my last asap.

Bottle in great condition, good fill, perfect cork. Youthful color, slight bricking. Right off the bat, you get tons of tertiary notes of compost, sandalwood, dried black currant, mushroom, pepper and a little green vegetables as well. Some roasted coffee & olive peek out on the back half. Tannins are fully resolved, acidity is still surprisingly fresh, but the fruit is a little faded. With some air the palate becomes rich with black fruits, leather and licorice. A complex wine. Prob toeing the edge but still drinking very nicely. Will be drinking my last two in the next year or so. 96% Cab w 3.5% Merlot and a touch of PV. 22 months in French oak. 3893 cases made.

This is the silky sister to SLV, cask, etc. And, I would forever argue that it's delicacy makes it superior! I have always loved the wine from this hallowed ground!

held up great. A worthy cabernet that aged Gracefully, with no compromises. Great fruit, nicely layered, some earth and leather, and a mellow but not hollow finish. The other bottle can go another few years if needed.

Overall, my impression was that it was slightly disappointing. Nice aromas - hints of dark fruit and graphite. Flavours were fairly smooth and mellow. Hints of dark fruit and strong tea, but overall a bit muddy. Sadly, it doesn't live up to the competition from France at this price point.

Nice nose but the fruit was somewhat buried by the alcohol still. Seemed to be missing something. Not a bad overall bottle with a great nose. No Hartwell '99, though.

Nice ruby color and pure cab aromas. Soft supple texture with fruit flavors still prominent but somewhat faded. This has aged very nicely in to a mature cab, and is ready to drink.

The wine was nice from the bottle decanting was not needed, most of the tanis are gone. Wine was smooth showing some fruit with spice notes of oak and cassis. Pleasant wine ready ow.

Very elegant. Nice young fruit on the nose. The flavors are subtle, but nice fruit and soft integrated tannins. Should still improve with another 2 years.

Decent, but a little disappointing. Dark purple color. Dark fruits and leather on the nose and palate, but it was a little disjointed and seemed slightly past peak.

Slow oxygenated over the course of 6 hours. Classic nose of baseball glove leather, tobacco, cedar with some spicy, dark red currants and plums, rounding out a lengthy, plush finish. This is still young, will wait 2-5 years before opening another.

Better than expected, given previous CT notes - a nice perfume is starting to develop on the nose. The palate shows some good power, richness, and extract, but at this point is quite compressed. Predominant flavors are cassis, olives, and tobacco. A bit of heat peaks out now and then from the nose and palate. 91+.
