Great way to start a tasting at the restaurant- and last tasting of the trip. In all, 8 wines tasted including the Champ. I have not had this producer previously but came away a buyer.
Wine came across a bit underwhelming (not looking at price) as there was less fruit than I was expecting from a Bourgogne with vineyards so well represented in southern Boune. More seashells & minerality, than I expected, good acid, grapefruit, tart lemon- but after looking at the price, not a bad offering simply not my

Straw yellow in the glass, the nose shows hints of gunflnt, chalky oystershells, peach, , lemon, honey, quince, and a nutty , slightly sweet butterscotch quality. Creamy and mouthfilling, acidity is medium, with flavours of ripe acidic nutty apples, leading into a long, clean finish of saline minerality. This is a satisfying, balanced wine that represents solid quality and value for money. Drink up over the next year or two.

Fresh lemons juice and zest, pineapple water, and touches of nuts on the nose — a lot of the classic white burgundy nose. Brisk palate with a lot of acidity, a little lighter in flavor intensity on the palate, but nice balance. More fresh citrus and minerality come through here with less of the savoriness nuttiness from the nose.

We picked this as our white Burgundy for a virtual wine and cheese class thanks to the comments here, and we were not disappointed. Max noted complexity, citing some stoniness alongside an interesting floral top note. Jessie also noted the pleasant minerality along with classic apple/citrus notes. Max throws in quince as well.
We drank this one over the course of three nights, using the Coravin for the first night and popping the cork on the second. It held up well even on day 3. Oh, and the class highlighted it as a match for gruyere, and we concur that this worked.

I have now tasted three of these bottles and I have enjoyed each bottle more and more as they age. No notes were taken for the first two other than notes of youth characteristics and balance. This bottles is showing a start of convergence and balance. Citrus and pear nose with a mineral notes, the palate is clear with good acidity and surprisingly long and balanced finish. This is showing beyond its pedigree.

Brilliant for the price. Great balance, lemon and candied perl against a mineral backbone array of fruit which has both length and depth. You can tell this comes from better vineyards in Puligny.....bought en primer in bond from The Wine Society. Great value.

Still drinking great. Great acidity and good persistence of fruit. Punches well above its weight, particularly in this vintage. Sadly I wouldn't expect as much out of 2018 or 2019 so I'll have to wait until another strong vintage rolls around for this one.

This straw-colored Chardonnay offers a nice package of citrus, pit fruits, honeysuckle and wet stones. Light-to-medium-bodied, freshly acidic, softly oaked and with seamless alcohol (13%), it stays solid on the mid-palate and closes with a crisp, medium-length finish. This well-balanced, entry-level white Burgundy represents good value. Enjoy it over the next 2-3 years. Drink now-2023.

From 75cl, DIAM 10 "cork", indicating a longer life than I fear this – currently excellent – Chardonnay will have. Bright ripe lemon and oak in a New World style (we are drinking this at the end of a Californian vacation in San Francisco, and this is so weighty it seems more like a very basic Ramey than what I would expect from Bougogne ordinaire...) Broad, simple entry, a nice French heavyweight at a reasonable price. 88-89P

A very good les Setilles. Lightly oaked, but still too much for the fruit. Good acidity somewhat mitigates the oak. I like to criticize, but the wine seems to evaporate. Need to try this in the 2018 vintage.

Either the 2017 is a much better vintage than the 2011 I had years ago at the domaine, or that one suffered from being in a line-up that included Leflaive's premier & grand crus (probably bit of both). Lemon, apple, and a judicious touch of oak; lively acidity and decent concentration on the palate. Could conceivably age for a few years. Definitely punching above its weight for an AOC Bourgogne.

Another good bottle but a wildly different showing from the bottle a week ago. Normally I wouldn't post two notes in such short a time frame, but the difference this time prompted me to do so. This one showed richer, more toast, and generally more cote d'Or, while the prior bottle seemed sharper and put me in mind of Chablis. In any case, an excellent value.

Wow that's good. This wine is usually a good value, but in this vintage it absolutely slays. Piercing lemon acidity and mineral notes. From the clean, straight acidity you might think this was chablis (and a really decent one at that), but there's richness under that acidity and the slightest hint of oak. This could easily be a very good St. Aubin or maybe a villages from certain producers. I think I need to buy a lot more of this.

Yellow citrus, lemon curd, fresh squeezed lemon juice, white melon, and the slightest hint of pumice, this Regionales Bourgogne impresses with its immediacy in flavor delivery and uncomplicated accessibility. Supple and round, while still holding a well delineated frame to keep the fruit in focus. Citrus, lemon. Very nice wine at this price point. Went well with chicken with Parmesan cheese on it.

Excellent QPR. Very light green, energetic lime-floral notes on the nose, very drinkable, enjoyable verve on the palate-cleansing finish. Stock up if you can.

Pale lemon colour. Medium nose with yellow apples, lemon, charred wood, butter and toast. Medium taste of green apples, lemon, lemon curd, butter, charred wood and honey. Long and dry finish. High acidity. Medium body. A very good and well oaked Bourgogne Blanc. Give an hour of air. Drink now or over the next couple of years. Goes well with cheese, fish or shellfish.

Pale yellow, lemon, butterscotch, flint, almond paste and soft floral notes on the nose, soft but rich on the palate with spice, green apple and tart acidity on the mid-palate, finishes with tangy acidity, melon and lingering flinty and citrus flavors

Just the right touch of oak. Oak does not overpower the fruit. Good acidity.
