With gochujang swordfish. Nice restrained New World pinot with a nod to Burgundy (but just a nod). Dark cherry, cola, black pepper, an new leather. Respectable juice, esp for a sub-$20 btl.

Dark cherry, raspberry, strawberry flavors, balanced with a fair bit of oak and some Oregon funk. Well balanced. Still going strong, with several years of life left of you have any (which I don’t, any more, sadly).

Another very nice showing. Dark cherry in colour with little hints of brick on the rim. More dark cherry and strawberry on the nose. Some herbal hint. Palate is ripe and sweet with low tannins and some sweet acidity. Juicy, but drying out a little on the finish. Reasonably complex and long. Glad I drank now rather than hanging on for another couple years. This way the fruit was still forward and ripe. Very good.

Last and best bottle. In fact, the only bottle I truly enjoyed. Served at a cooler temp than usual. Translucent cranberry color. Medium weight. Bright red fruit. Slight vanilla oak. Faint white pepper. Balanced. Medium finish. QPR. D/H.

Similar to my experience last July: bright array of intense red fruits, well balanced, and a medium finish. Just lacks the complexity to be great. Well worth the $20 price tag.

Tart cranberry nose with medium tannin and elevated acidity. Not much in the way of earthy aromas yet, but this has great balance and fruit, along with the acidity, which leads me to believe this will age very well. I have a few more bottles and I will avoid for 5 years or so if possible to see how it turns out...

A huge improvement over the 2016 Scott Paul La Paulee which I drank in November 2019. Decanted and enjoyed with baked, jalapeño chicken queso on a bed of spinach. Medium bodied, bright clear ruby. Medium plus aromas and flavors of red florals, fresh raspberry, juicy cherry, ripe strawberry, Dr. Pepper cola, baking spices, with some wet cedar earth. Medium acidity and good balance. Not terribly complex, but a fun wine. Love the QPR at less than $20. Food friendly. Drink by 2022.

This is some tasty pinot. Lots of cherry fruit and some nice light cigar box notes from oak. Medium+ acid and a long finish make this a very nice wine. Not a ton of tannin though, drinking easily right now with juicy fruit.

Was not expecting this. This was darker and riper than expected, almost Californian in body, but still with very nice balance, mild tannins, good acidity and a juicy berry and red cherry fruit profile. More black fruits than I normally get from Oregon, this was really nice. Not a lot of complexity but extremely good length and great balance.

Much deeper, richer flavor than I expected. Very long and somewhat dark finish. A little on the sweet side as well for an Oregon Pinot. But such a good value.

I enjoyed this much more than my previous two Scott Paul PN’s. A lovely bouquet and it has fantastic balance and structure in the mouth. Harmony among all the elements - always a plus. Very nice wine and excellent QPR. 4+12+17+8= 91

very deep purple color... aromatically very grapy wth jamy (not overripe) dark blackberry fruit, baking spices. on the palate high acids, very fleshy midpalate, plenty of firm tannins, moderate alcohol. balanced wine with good length, very good intensity, ok complexity. i really enjoyed this... very different style than the paulee.. this was pleasurable and fun to drink. may get some nuance with 1-3 years in the cellar but it may also lose it's fleshy charm during that time as well.

Consistent notes, although the fruit tends darker this time around.

Easy drinking (maybe too easy...) predominantly cherry with some vanilla and spice notes.

Fresh, fleshy, cool acidity, and slightly underripe cherries
Lovely balance with 13.3% abv.

Nicely balanced, fleshy with good ripe acidity
At this stage, benefits from early decanting
