Noticed this is a French product from Eric Solomon and Lafage, which helps explains why it is decent. French chardonnay is different than American and others; they seem to be more refined, even at this price point. A great value. I held this in fridge for several days and it never fell apart and in my opinion, got better, smoother. Nothing here life changing, just a pleasant surprise and a good table wine. Can't drink premium wines every day, and Novellum gives a good value.

I've come to realize how much "preference" comes into play when reviewing wines. Consistency vintage to vintage also plays a big part for me. Yellow gold in the glass with aromas of peach, honey and almond that continue on the palate with some notes of wet stone and papaya. Medium mouthfeel that is clean and pleasing. Crisp, almost salty texture that finishes with an edge that tends toward bitterness without ever going overboard. Simple and one dimensional but a wonderful weekday drinker that doesn't break the bank.

Well, I'm not one for chardonnay, but this I quite enjoyed (would buy again, even!). Delicate nose, citrus and floral, with a nice crisp palate balanced very nicely by some buttery notes (but not too much!). Neither does it taste oaked at all. If you like sauvignon blanc but find it a little too ... green, perhaps give this one a try.

I bought this wine from wine.com for $12.99. We served and drank it on home party we did with our friends Deepak, Nikhil and Alok. The wine looks yellow colored. The wine finishes short.

Belle découverte à la LCBO. Nez de fruits jaunes, mineralité, touche de vanille que l'on retrouvent aussi en bouche. Belle ampleur, équilibré, belle longueur sur l'acidité. RQP excellent.

100% Chard from 30 yr old vines gown in soils of clay limestone & galets near the Mediterranean @ 15m elev; Typically, "Fermented in tank (5% undergoing malolactic), then aged 3 mos in tank (80%) on the lees of Viognier & FR oak barrels (20%);"
P: Med body; RNDISH entry with NICE, ALMOST swtish frt nicely counterbalanced by an acidity which fairly seamlessly morphs into a LONG, balanced finish with hints of a very, VERY slight bitterness that RIGHT now MIGHT be a +, though down the line? Drink now & into Summer '20. My EXC-, *poss* more for QPR? 92 pts Jeb Dunnuck. [This vendor's $9.99 Is AS good as anyone on wine-searcher!}

Easter Wine Tasting (San Diego Wine Co.): 100% Chard from 30 yr old vines gown in soils of clay limestone & galets near the Mediterranean @ 15m elev; Typically, "Fermented in tank (5% undergoing malolactic), then aged 3 mos in tank (80%) on the lees of Viognier & FR oak barrels (20%);"
WAY too cold
N: CLOSED; Hints of butter & earth? Intensity lurking?
P: Med body; Very RNDISH entry with NICE, ALMOST swtish OAK/frt (approaching threshold R.S.?) counterbalanced by an acidity which keeps matters in check into & through the LONG, very, VERY slightly bitterish finish with notes of tangy/swtness. In the style, LOTS here for the price! Drink now & through '20 so as not to risk bitterness getting the better of this one. My VG+/EXC-, the higher arguably for the QPR of this vendor's $9.99, which is AS good as anyone on wine-searcher! 92 pts Jeb Dunnuck.

I found it a bit flabby and with a generic profile. Not my style of wine.

Nice light but not very complex. Doesn’t have that bad taste / finish some chardonnays have
