I don't drink much traditional rose but when I do, I tend to prefer them on the fruity side, as long as they are not flabby. I liked this a lot a sipper. Great strawberry aromatics. Big sweet red fruit on the attack but before it becomes too much, there are nice mineral elements that kick in. It is a bit soft in the middle. Everyone in the room enjoyed this.

I still like this wine...a dark peach color, red berries on the nose, and a nice rounded fruit structure that was evenly balanced. A delight to drink with old fashioned stuffed pork chops, as the acidity helped with the richness of the food, and the fruit character was just right for the pork. Last bottle...

Had this at a group tasting event. Drank from a Waterford "Connoisseur Gold" Pinot Noir glass. I was disappointed. The color was beautiful - almost pearlescent. On the nose, I encountered strawberry, hint of watermelon, some subtleties of yeast, and some citrus spritz as well. On the palate I was overwhelmed by the alcohol. We also found it to be overly acidic. There was a hard-candy layer somewhere in there along with nail polish remover. This was all over the place like marbles on a kitchen floor. It was unanimous amongst 10 people that this was a disappointing wine.

summer may be over in most of the country, but warm temperatures are alive and well in arizona tonight. actually, it seemed unseasonably warm (almost 90 degrees) on the patio with dusk approaching as i sipped my last bottle of this wine with some cheese and crackers. you won't find jesus drinking this stuff, but it's more than a decent wine, and i'm more of a fan than last time, as it has a level head about it in the acidity department.

San Diego Pinot-fest (Cuvee Restaurant - Del Mar, CA): Breezy nose of watermelon and unripe strawberries. The strawberry intensifies on the palate and picks up some citrus rind on the finish. Simple and light and would serve very nicely as a picnic wine. Not a serious rosé, but then again, who wants their rosé serious? Not me. I like mine carefree and insouciant. 87-88 points.

Opened bottle to an initially weird nose of garbage/sewage which after considerable time blew off to reveal an extremely muted nose of wild strawberries and cherry and a bit of earrthiness/spice. Taste was a different matter. The wine was thick, lush, and nicely balanced with only the tiniest hint of heat. I'm wondering if the nose indicated some heat damage? I have one more bottle and will update my notes after trying it.

Same appearance and nose as before, but the alcoholic finish is gone, and in addition to the notes of strawberries and plum, there is more pronounced depth of fruit and hints of pinot complexity. We kept this chilled, and I think that made a big difference. Great with grilled chicken.

My wife had a taste of the KB Rose as I was finishing the bottle on its second day. Liking it but wanting for more, she asked me to open another bottle. I only had the Kutch in hand so I opened my first Kutch for both of us. Amazing stuff. Kutch has more of an earthy pinot nose that I really liked. It had expressive aromatics (earthy, fresh strewberries and bing cherries), wonderfully balanced and without any heat on the nose or palate. I like the Kutch by a nose over the KB. However, it is like asking for your favorite child - both have different personalities and love 'em both.

Served with Ahi Tuna tartar with soy ginger sauce @ Bistro 45 and was a perfect match. The high acidity in the ginger soy sauce complemented the low acidity fruit forward nature of the rose. Drank chilled.

Not what I was expecting. Both the Kutch and KB 06 roses seem to be very low in acidity. While the wine was pleasant, there was no 'zing'. It was more like fruit juice.
Neither the Kutch nor the KB 06 roses are close to the 'wow' of the 05 KB.
Sorry, guys. I was hoping for more.
Maybe next time.

It's Friday, the sun is out, time to open up a Rose. I learned my lessone to not open my wines immediately after receiving them, especially if they are recently bottled. It's probably best to let them rest for at least a couple weeks. On Thursday, I finally received my wine from Benovia, rather than open one of those, I decided to open a Kutch Rose. Glad I did. There's some nice cherry and strawberry aromas. The palate is medium bodied, feels sweet but finishes dry. Nice acidity and is well balanced. Even a little tannin peeks out. A nice Rose. I give a slight preference to this over the Kosta Browne Rose. 50 + 5 + 11 + 15 + 6

Broke 90 today, so it seemed like time to open one of these. Consumed with grilled chicken. In the glass, clear pinkish-red with a slight orange tint. On the nose, a mix of pinot spice and floral aromas. On the palate, strawberries and a touch of plum, with a slightly alcoholic finish. We drank it at cellar temperature, but I think it would do a bit better chilled. A servicable summer wine to accompany grilled foods.

Finally broke 80 degrees this past week up in New England, so I decided to pull out the Rose to have with grilled pizza.
Nice nose of strawberries, cranberries, orange peel and dried herbs (dill). The best way to describe the mouthfeel is clean and refreshing. Light bodied, but full of fruit, mainly bright red fruit with a nice lightly tannic finish. Fun wine.

Excellent rose ... a fruit-forward style, if not a bit over-the-top ... if you enjoy a more dry rose, this is not for you. If you enjoy a lush rose with plenty of fruit on the structure and backbone, this is perfect!

An evening of Rose in San Diego (Womack Residence): This rose was a difficult experience for everyone at the table. It started out alcoholic, with not a lot of great pinot fruit on the palate. Nose was kind of muted. We let it sit and came back to it after an hour. Alcohol had settled down markedly. Nose was much more expressive of bright, clean fruit flavors. I think this needs a few months of rest to come together a bit more.

Beautiful color! Served from cellar temperature and while there was a nice strawberry color, the heat was definitely present. Day 2, there was a slight bitterness to the wine as well.
A pretty cool Rose because it wasn't overly sweet and yet there was a unique taste and finish. If the heat wasn't present, this would be an excellent wine. I hope my next bottle will taste better in the hot summer temperature.

The weather got warm, so out came the rose. This one is a beautiful salmon pink with a nose of sour cherries and something like watermelon. In the mouth it's crisp, with the bright cherry, a hint of citrus and a tangy sour bite that lingered for a moment. FWIW, I didn't notice the alcohol that other posters did. Not a complex wine, but very refreshing. Reminiscent of a Tavel rose, for about the same price.

Very nice rich peachy color...and a medium nose of strawberries and light cherry. Opened chilled...and kept at refer temperature over the evening...as I drank this over several hours...bright entry and a very nice fruit grip with even acidity that went well with a roasted chicken and steamed artichokes...a consistent personality that never did back down and was firm enough for the food, very tasty and enjoyable rose.

Not sure what to make of this wine. I was expecting more of a Kosta Browne Rose' and that is not what this is. Maybe it needs more time in bottle but the heat is a lot off putting but at 14.1% for a Rose' what more can I expect? I am forgoing rating this wine as it may be off, I will hold judgement until I have the second bottle.
2nd night. I left about a glass worth of wine in the bottle to try on the second night. The wine has come around a little with more secondary flavors but the alcohol is still a litlle out of sorts, I do think sitting on the rest of the ros'e for three months is a smart thing to do.

Peachy color and a nose of red berries...with strawberry highlights. I still like this rose a lot... firm and tasty, enjoyed this time without food, and as much as I like it solo...I tend to think this really tends to match well with food.

Served with Ahi Tuna tartar with soy ginger sauce @ Bistro 45 and was a perfect match. The high acidity in the ginger soy sauce complemented the low acidity fruit forward nature of the rose. Drank chilled.

14.1% ABV. On the nose is bright strawberry, red cherry and mild earth. The palate has slight heat and glycerin with tart cherry and berry flavors. Finish is medium-long. Needs some integration time.

Drink Local/Eat Local -- California Artisanal Food and Wine: Better than the last bottle. Great balance of acidity and fruit. Nice, creamy mouthfeel. A terrific summer wine.

Fun wine.

Taken to Houston's for dinner with Gerry, Rob-cop and Youndy... also served was Copain Rose...Gerry hated this...said flabby and no acidity....I don't agree and neither did the others...plenty of acid, dry, not flabby, stawberry type fruit, nice color. Good with appetizers

Drank with Jaimetown
nose was a little sharp/tart with strawberry and cranberry
tasted a little alcohol at first but then straightened out with more fruit (strawberry/cranberry) showing up and an acid backbone stretching the length out a bit. interested to retaste at some point this summer.

Thai Lunch on a Monday in Queens: beautifull nose of strawberry..touch of sweetness on the middle..but the alc sticks out a lot, and really falls flat on the finish for me - a weird note that just mars the exp. too bad.

Wines with Indian Food (Hema's Kitchen - Chicago, IL): Light nose of strawberries. Medium bodied palate is thrown off by some obvious alcohol notes. With air this became more refreshing, but never really straightened itself out. I'm hoping its just travel shock, but this was a disappointing bottle.
