NOT PAST its prime at all. Deep gold color, nose is intense honeysuckle and a tropical fruit like passionfruit or ripe guava. Flavors are sweet honeycomb, honey-nectarine, some geranium too. Very viscous, oily but also perfect balance and finish that is smooth, long and keeps going. There is no mineral or flintiness, just the multi-layers of honey and sweet stone fruits. Up there with one of the best whites Ive ever had. Its so balanced and intense flavored that another 2 years will be fine. But enjoy now and until 2024. From other reviews (and my own), there was a dumb stage a few years back but superb now, not just as an experiment of how tolerable a well aged white can be but rather this wine stands on its own as a near-100 pointer white.

We knew this would be past it's prime, but hoped for something interesting left... Sadly this wasn't showing much of anything anymore. Not terrible, just nothing special.

This was a little better than the previous one but still bad. Alcohol dominates the palate. Nose is relatively intriguing featuring melons and flowers, but the palate is hard, alcoholic, and unbalanced. Strike 2. Another TC roussanne down the drain.

Pale burnished gold. Not much nose. melons with a slight effervescence on the palate with a sweet finish. The sweet acidity pairs nicely with, say, an asparagus risotto.

A beautiful golden honey colour. Touch of melon on the nose with some floral components. Quite a lot of mineral on the taste, weighty and drying - I think better suited with food.

I don't understand the appeal of these wines. There is not much on the nose, and the flavors are so subtle as to not be there. The minerality is nice, but even this hard core mineral head wanted more than rubbing alcohol and rocks in this wine.

Marshmallow, melon and a floral nose gives way to strong light honey and green melon flavors that last and last. Probably will continue improving for another 2 years.

92pts, great acid on the mouth, smooth start to a fine wine, deep straw color, nose of spice and melon, nice long finish tasted it well after drinking, everyone like it when we drank it; as it opened up it got deeper mouthfeel

This is pretty tasty and unique stuff. Melons and wax on the nose, with maybe a little bit of honey as well. Very round on the palate, with low acidity. Just a touch of bitterness on the finish, but not really distracting. Each sip is better then the last. Not for everyone, but pretty tasty stuff.

Honey, lemon, and a touch of smoke in the nose. An amazing straw gold color. Medium body, great balance between the fruit and acidity. Great Rhone style. TC makes the best Roussanne in California

Notes of melon, lemon cream, and pear with just enough nut tinged mineral cut to break through the waxy Roussanne. Floral aftertaste. My previous bottle (no note) showed heat and was underwhelming, but this is drinking very nicely now. Rich and low acid but not flabby.

Light gold color...and I had this chilled a little too much which tames the nose and the palate...thankfully, there was much improvement with time in the glass with the nose finally showing a light enticement of varied fruit, and a balanced palate that had an inviting grip. I do like this wine...

Decanted for about an hour in bottle. Great nose, lots of subtle fruit, pineapple, passion fruit, creme and lemon tart on the nose. GREAT balance, not too extracted overall. Very nice wine, much better on the nose but refreshing and fresh.

Light to a barely medium gold, and a refreshing, but light nose showing citrus and ripe melon in balance...and that is why I lilke this as the grip and frame work around this has a natural balance leanding itself to food and by itself...stood up to broiled snapper and a rich shrimp scampi garnish.

Light gold color and a ripe stone fruit quality on the nose, tart citrus notes with a sweet floral backing. Firm and tasty fruit grip on the palate with a balance of crispness that lends itself to food and drinking alone as a cool refresher...

Hello? Hello? Yes? Uh, Tablas Creek rocks! Delicious nose of honey, lemon, minerlas. Palate is full of honeysuckle, pear and a crisp acidity. Never flabby, this wine loves grilled fare and hits on is perfect for a scorching summer eve in ATL. Excellent again.

Nose of tinned pears in syrup, wet slate, white flowers and river stones, peach fuzz, and, yes aluminum. Palate is round and full, yet light in flavor, subtly hinting at floral, and white fruit notes. On the finish, a wall of stone comes out, with a layer of vanilla and apricot. Some fig notes, too, on the minute long echoes. A very interesting wine, in the style of white Hermitage. The closest I have had to this is Chapoutier's Chante Alouette, which ages well for decades, so I'd suggest holding this for at least 4-5 more years.

Even in its youth, this wine exemplifies the superbly balanced wines coming out of Tablas Creek. Though the nose would indicate overripe fruit, on the palate is a nicely balanced wine, with little to no hint of the 14.3% ABV. Ripe melon Honeysuckle aromas on the nose. Mouthfeel is rich with a nice, long finish. What a value....

Oh man this wine is outstanding. I picked up 4 bottles wine fest weekend and, even with it's youth, it is drinking wonderfully. I have no formal notes on this wine this wine, but this is my favorite wine from Tablas Creek this year and it really eximplifies the Rhone style of the winery and shows off the Roussanne grape.
At the wine club price of about $22 this is an outstanding value and at the list price of $28 it is still acceptable.

Tasted with Cajun Tilapia and artichoke risotto. Viscous coating--thick, coats the tongue with flavors. Honey on the nose. Citrus and minerals. Lack of oak. Very big for a white. Some vanilla but not too much oak. Fleshy and long finish. Light honey accents.

Beautiful wine, yet a bit too much heat on the finish. Went superbly with the marinated garden eggplant, but I then made the mistake of having a heavy pizza with the wine. Needless to say, it didn't pair well with pizza. Live and learn. Can't wait to try the Bergeron Style.

Somewhat tightly wound upon opening, this has opened up nicely for day 2. Viscous and rich with varietally predictable notes of nuts, honeysuckle, and pear. Lacking something in the upper register, but I think that comes from the limitation of a 100% Roussane; a range of acids would make this more interesting on the back end. Drinkable now, with a foundation I expect will carry the wine past the presumptive impending dumb stage. List price is a bit steep but at <$20 I am happy, and will put the other bottle, wherever I put it, to bed for a few years. I would double splash this to drink on day 1. I do enjoy the mouthfeel and slightly sweet nuttiness of this wine. 89+
