Blackberries, orange peel, plums, grilled meat, a hint of spice, and a touch of tannin. If you need an inexpensive red wine--I paid around $12 a bottle--this is quite a good choice. My guess is that it will stay in good shape (properly stored) for around 2 more years but not longer.

Simple, fruit-forward malbec. Medium(-) tannins, medium(-) acidity, medium body. First thought was, "this tastes like grape juice." Maybe some baked blueberries as well, but it was really just grape for me. Very drinkable, good price (under $10), but not special in any way.

Acidic nose, bright cherry, blackberry, and pepper if you dig. Gives way to a fruit filled plum body. The acidity is rigid throughout the taste as well. Coats the mouth. Tannins are small, tart finish.

Delicious table wine. Young fruit, cherries, and a more elegant mouth feel than I was expecting. Finishes like plum and chocolate. Vanilla and other baking spices stand out too. Really good.

A highly drinkable and pleasing low-end Malbec. Fresh and fruity aromas of black cherry, red and blue fruits, vanilla, cocoa, baking spices, peppercorn, and violets. Smooth, round tannins, and balance between plush fruit and moderate oak flavors from a blend of French and American oak aging. Good value at $7 a bottle.

A nose of dark fruit and spice, dark purple in color. A medium to full bodied red, with black cherry, currents, vanilla spiced finish, easy drinking. www.winelx.com

Light purple color. Lively nose of sweet plums and cherries, along with roses, cocoa and vanilla. Smooth and velvety on the palate, fresh acidity, framed nicely with plums, raspberry and cherry fruit. Notes of cocoa powder, earth, vanilla, but there’s also some deeper, more complex notes of earth and graphite, too. Balanced, fresh, lively, I continue to find this a solid, widely-available, value-driven Malbec.

The appearance is clear and deep ruby in colour. Tears are visible.
The nose is clean. The aromas have a medium(+) intensity and show notes of black fruit (black cherry, mulberry) and herbal characteristics (subtle medicinal character). Swirling reveals additional notes of black fruit (blackberry, bramble), mineral (subtle wet soil), and oak (subtle vanilla). The wine appears youthful.
On the palate the wine is dry with medium(+) acidity, medium(+) alcohol, and medium body. The medium(-) level tannins are ripe and soft. The flavours have a medium intensity and show notes of black fruit (mulberry, blueberry, black cherry, bramble). The finish has a medium length, showing additional notes of oak (subtle milk chocolate, subtle vanilla).
This is a good quality wine. The flavours have a good balance with the acidity. Warmth from the alcohol shows on the mid- and back-palate. The wine has a refreshing medium body style, with the tannins only showing very briefly before giving rise to the dominant acidity. The flavours have a reasonable concentration, contributing to the good length of the finish (a higher quality wine would be more concentrated and have a longer length). In its current state, the wine shows primary and secondary characteristics. The oak treatment is very subtle, allowing the simple black fruit core to show relatively undisturbed.
The wine drinks well now, but is not suitable for ageing. While the acid structure should support the wine for several years, it is unlikely that the balance with the alcohol will improve.
