Friday afternoon online tasting: basic but still a top Sancerre by top producer Bourgeois from the goat cheese capitol Chavignol. Strong citric, pear, buxus and chalky mineral, with a touch of flint. Also layered, elegant and persistant. Bourgeois always gives a bit more!’

Pale yellow, crisply acidic and with intense lemon and floral aromas, this Sauvignon Blanc adds complimentary notes of sage and flint. Light-bodied and without detectable oak, it delivers flavors mirroring the nose and stays solid on the mid-palate. Medium in length and vibrant on the back end, this is a quality white that will pair well with any type of light fare. Drink now-2023.

Pale yellow-green color with excellent clarity. Fresh citrus aromas of pineapple, grapefruit, and lemon. Crisply refreshing on the palate with plenty of pineapple, apple, grapefruit flavors and pleasing stony minerality. Well-balanced with brisk acidity. Overall, a very solid Sancerre.

Light straw color. Muted nose with lemon, apple, something green — maybe cucumber — and a bit of ocean breeze minerality.
It’s light bodied, smooth, a little buttery, and fairly dry with a little bit of sweetness. It’s earthy on the palate with grass, minerals, and apple. Clean finish. This is a delicate wine and a little of everything than many of its New Zealand counterparts. A little less on the nose, a little less acidic, a little shorter finish. Great food wine and pairs well with fish and summer vegetables.

Very nice sauv blanc smoothed out by aging on the lees. Aromas of white flowers, margarine, and weak grapefruit. Creamy mouthfeel with lingering grapefruit flavors and peel, and a bit of pleasing funkiness.

Cucumber, lemon, ripe green and yellow tropical fruit, there’s a little salt and minerality but only a little. M acid, M- body, dry but not completely. Stylistically feels made for a broad audience of Sauv Blanc drinkers. I would like more acid and a fresher/drier style but this is decent and went well with veggie sandwiches with provolone and and dill yogurt spread. Went ok with the tomato basil veggie soup in same meal. I would try other Loire Sauv Blanc in this price range before buying this again. 6-/10

A very light straw coloring when poured. BONE DRY without a hint of residual sugar. Notes of lemon, lychee and grass but all muted. Delicious summer wine to accompany a shrimp cocktail or cherrystone clams.

Nose: stone fruit, lychee, peach, lemon, cut grass and jasmine. Very minerally. Palate: great blend of fruit and acidity. Peach, lemon and zesty citrus are supported by great chalky stone notes.
High quality for the money. Twist drink enjoy on these.

Poured with a nice straw coloring. Very dry with some notes of lemon, lychee and grass well blended. Incredibly smooth. A perfect example of Sancerre.

La qualità di questo vino varia moltissimo a seconda delle annate. Questo 2018 è decisamente al di sotto delle annate precedenti.
