Great colour, fresh and youthful. There are notes of black cherry and smoked meats. It has good fruit intensity for its level and ample structure buried under the flesh. The finish is persistent.

Dark, purple-red colour. Smells of roses and violets, quite sappy and floral with a sort of stony/mineral component in the background. Something attractively smoky too suggesting some whole bunch. Ripe, red-cherry flavours on the palate, very flavoursome and rich with a lovely sourness balancing things out. Tart marachisno cherry vibe. Fine dusty tannins. Great.

Working wine wine Seminar two Burgundy, Beguiling, Bewildering and Beautiful (Est. Restaurant, George Street, Sydney): Earthy, savoury, concentrated, slight liquorice, dark brooding fruit; perhaps a little over extracted (?) slight stalks. Rich, dense, weighty, structured, dark hued fruits, drying but silky tannic burr travel hand in hand with the fruit. Long, very good.
