Shimmering light gold in colour. Flinty/reductive on the nose. Lovely salinity on the palate. Touch of sweetness of citrus fruits. Good acidity. Savoury on the finish. Grapefruit. Crisp and linear. I like the underlying power here, which steels up on you. Note to self. Drink more Boisson Vadot

It was classic Meursault, with loads of almond butter and fleshy white peach fruit. It had spice and texture and was cut with a fine line of minerally acidity.

Good but glacial how it’s aging. Far more right and high acid than nearly every other 2017 white burgundy I’ve tried. I probably wouldn’t touch another for 5 years

Lunch at Souflot. Was a nice idea but we just didn’t have enough time to give this enough air. There seemed to be so much preservative and overall reduction that it was like drinking a frozen corpse of a wine. Good to hear it has been coming around.

Burg Villages wine theme lunch at Wa-I. Drank in Gabriel Standart. Stood up to the Roulot just before it, but in a different style. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of melons, pomelo, citrus lemon, yellow peaches. Developing. On the palate, dry, mouth-watering high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of citrus lemon, deep yellow peaches, ripe melons. Very long finish. Very good quality. Full of flesh and juice. Premier cru quality but perhaps just lacking some secondary development at this point.

Dim sum at Triple Crown (Chicago, IL): Reductive, but in a good way. This is quite opulent and potent, with more of a popcorn thing than outright sulphur. Fairly ripe, with a good thick texture that is pretty true to Meursault. A little bit of salinity but plenty of fruit and minerality in this. I've been back and forth on the Boisson wines, but I think this one I'm pretty bullish on.

Nose of citrus fruit, a faint hint of vanilla, pineapple, and a hint of butter. The palate is very crisp, with wonderful acidity and lots of citrus fruit. The pineapple also appears on the palate. Young but drinking great!

Pale bright yellow straw; very youthful nose, very different from the Ganevat this was lacey delicate lifted limestone nose that lacked a bit of punch in comparison but the purity was undeniable, slight flinty reduction lurks but is not distracting, acid driven this dances on the palate with the fruit and mid palate weight needing time and air to come around; I'm in the camp to hold this for at least a couple years as it seemed much less precocious than many other '17s which speaks to its pedigree I'm sure.

Somewhere between 90-95, lacks some of the accessibility of other 2017s out of the gate, maybe 2017 is shutting down? I’ve tried a number over the last 6 months and the last few have been very stingy, prior most of the wines I’d tried from the cool kid white burg producers have been pretty forthcoming. This also is a little less reductive and “Coche-y” than other vintages I’ve tried, when I tried the 2013 out of a decanter last year I’d have bet a tidy sum it was Coche. Hard to say what this turns into but it it’s really pure, this and Henri Germain are the most tightly wound and probably more destined for greatness and remind me more of 2014 in the structure.

Bright, crisp and refreshing -- lots of citrus fruit and sharp acidity. Lacks a bit of weight on the mid-palate, but super solid.

Nose of citrus…very lemony. Will be interesting to taste as it ages as it’s tight at present. Very good for level but price is reflective of same.
I liked it but didn’t love it like others.
