Last bottle in the collection. Splash decanted from the fridge and left in there for 30 mins and tasted three pours. Initially not bad, but over the course of a meal within the first 30 minutes, intense sour and a lot of mineral bitter that was not pleasant, and both profiles started to dominate. I suspect this wine was better upon release, but six years in, not so good.

For the value and for $25 + tax and under, this is a fantastic value / everyday casual home drinking Chablis 1er cru. The 2017 vintage's back label mentions the climat/vineyard blend (2018 does not), which combines two: Vau Ligneau and Vaugiraut. Which make you wonder what's in 2018....perhaps it's like Petit Chablis or Chablis village where the blend is unknown (unless a distributor or importer gets that information specifically somewhere on a spec sheet). I bought multiple bottles upon release so now it has some good age to it. The color has become a bit more darker/golden, and without putting it in refrigeration, a splash decant and it was ready. The nose was a rather interesting vanilla like cream (just the smell) and on the palate, a little bit of pear, apple, lemon, and on the mid palate is when there is an expansive bitterness of lemon pith and rind, with some minerality, and the acidity seems a bit more mellow compared to last year. Yes you can age lower cost wine, although this is far from complex compared to other climats and more well regarded producers....so you do get what you pay for. Went nicely with a thick slab of grilled salmon and some cauliflower sauteed with onions and garlic. Maybe I'll wait till another year and see how the next bottle evolves.

A very nice offering from Costco. The 1st time we’ve seen it at Costco and not disappointed. It starts very nice with a light with a little citrus followed by just a tad bit of mineral and sweetness. The middle comes with a little bit of sweetness and it really cleans up. It finishes light with a kick of citrus the shocker was how clean it finishes.

Strikingly beautiful golden yellow with a star bright countenance and very fine specular reflectivity. Really nice looking wine. The nose shows good intensity, with white spring flowers, light gravel, and white nectarine and wafts of sweet lemon. Enough going on to intrigue. The palate shows fresh, bright acidity (spot on), a light dancing body, and an even texture that is broad across the palate but still shows some tension at the edges. Flavours of white peach, lemongrass, and flowers on the attack, with an evolution toward gravel at midpalate. Finishes with dusty dried flower pedals, and fades quickly during the final transition to leave a clean finish of savoury sweet and sour lemon. Decent intensity and some depth, but an elegant wine that provides everything expected.
This is great value 1er Cru white Burgundy. Classic styling, beautiful, and elegant, this is a knock-out old-world treat. Evolution of flavours along with pleasant tension and interest make this a great food wine, but also nice to enjoy alone and focus on the flavours- delicious yet thought-worthy. Kirkland strikes again!

Great value, obviously, but a legit wine. Acid a little too bright, but secondary notes of honey and a long finish. I’m going to wait at least six months to open the next bottle.

Light golden color, gentle bouquet, focused fruit balanced with acid, medium to light body, drank easily with flounder and baked clams, enjoyable wine showing some classic Chablis traits, would drink again, a good value.

Quarantine 2020: National Chardonnay Day (Blind); 5/21/2020-5/25/2020 (Los Gatos and San Carlos California): Tasted Blind: Clear and light pale yellow in the glass. Hints of pear and minerals on the nose. This wine is soft and reticent on day 1. It blooms a little on days 2 and 3 but was the shyest of the six wines in this lineup. Delicate pear on the palate with minerals and some oak on the finish. It's nicely balanced, but just a bit shy simple. No real complexity or layers. Its a more simple and straightforward wine, and at <$20, I'm not complaining. 12.5% ABV
Color - Straw yellow with hint of green Nose - Tropical fruits, pineapple, green apple, some nut aroma maybe almond. Palate - Good balance, green apple, hint of lemon.

Opened not decanted and served chilled. Leaner and more austere than in previous vintages. Nice attack with good acidity but lacking a middle depth and viscosity. Ends with a pleasant sourness with a touch of sweetness on the finish. Good, but will not be loading up on these this year.

Pale yellow. A little SO2. Tropical fruit, lemon nose. Crisp but with medium body, actually a sexy feeling wine. Well concentrated, some herb along with the lemon fruit in the medium + finish. A very good value! JM Brocard.
This was not quite what I would expect from a premier cru white Burgundy. It wasn't bad, but lacked the crispness and expressiveness of quality WBs. Yes, the QPR isn't horrible, but nothing I will buy again.

Honestly not bad. Probably a good value (idk cost). High acid, lemon, clean cut, great with oysters. Alongside a named 1er cru ‘14, this lacked the precision, body, and length. But still good.

My last bottle of this, served it blind to two fellow tasters with a combined 50 or so years working in the wine biz. Their consensus score was 92pts.

Felt like this is starting to come into its own. Nice wine. More balanced than last bottle. Enjoyed with halibut in a butter and coriander sauce.

Good Wine with an Exciting Super Bowl (Chez Kailin - Northbrook IL): Small glass, brief note. Tasty enough, but somewhat simple and non-descript. Certainly wouldn't have thought 1er Cru Chablis from a top vintage.

As a Chablis lover, this showed an amazing amount of true Chablis character. Tart apple, some citrus, crisp acid and minerality. A steal at $19. 90+
