  • Subtle nose of some mineral notes. Medium bodied, very dry, crisp and refreshing, showing subtle citrus, some white fruits and discreet saline mineral notes with firm acidity. Overall tight and poised; very good.

  • Medium dark yellow, so fresh still, lots lemon, nose & palate are complex, in a good spot

  • On opening very fresh and fruit-driven, with aeration the lie-aging starts to appear, a little yeast, high intensity but incredibly fresh for '11

  • Lots of lemon, tropical fruits, rocky minerals and subtle saline notes, much richer and rounder palate than what one expects from an Albariño, very well made, nice acidity and a medplus finish paired nicely with grilled octopus and oysters

  • This could well be one of the best white wines nobody has heard off.
This is so much more beyond an Albarinio and is fascinating that 11 year on its as fresh as if it was made yesterday, bright and energetic , mineral and so well made. Its like a cross of a Riesling with an Assyrtiko in many respects but in the end a very elegant and effortlessly classy offering. We have rated this 92 5 times now in the last year and a half and we feel it deserves that. 92

    Super long et satisfaisant.
    Superbe!

  • Very impressive floral, seaspray, meyer lemon, hint of aged toast. Youthful and lively. I’ll get stick for this but this 11 year old Albarino drinks almost like a 1er Cru Puligny Montrachet.

  • Another consistent showing from this wine that could well be one of the last great arbitrages of value vs quality. We decanted and served to Andreas blind and was perplexed at the freshness of it. Bright , fresh lemony, citrus , soft honey and a mineral finish. Elegant and impressive wine and another easy 92

  • Extremely fresh and youth, there are moments when it seems a great Sancerre. Outstanding!

  • Excellent pairing with seared scallops and green apple salad- lots of complementary notes and acidity. I love this wine with seafood!

  • Tasted together with the 2009 and 2010 vintage. This is a kind of a median wine between the almost sweet 2009 and the more mineral and fresh 2010. Nose dominated by clean peach and some citrus and lime. A mineral touch emerges as the wine warms up (crushed stone/chalk). Medium to full bodied, lots of peach and apples in the mid part, some more mineral tones in the finish. A more elegant version than the powerful 2009 and the more complex 2010. Still very young, will keep for many years to come.

  • We love this wine and its still so impressive at 10yrs old and frankly we feel it will go for another 10. One of the wines that is a clear arbitrage of price vs quality and full of charm ad elegance.
Maybe its because (for sure served blind we would have thought so) it reminds us of a high quality assyrtiko from Santorini with its smoky/flinty and mineral side. Firm and bright full of energy and with a lot of typicity. Super impressive once again and another easy 92-93 . Superb.

  • The first vintage I tasted of this wine was 2009, and I was shocked by the quality of an aged but still very young Albarino. Next, I found the 2010 vintage a bit on the opulent side. Now, this 2011 is - again - something else. Golden yellow with strong greenish tones, almost like green gold. Very citrusy nose complemented by green apples, and with undertones of wax, slate and a bit of petroleum. Medium to full bodied, very high acidity through the whole tasting curve, lots of citrus and green apples, and an aftertaste with hints of wax and oil/slate. High dry extract gives an impression of an almost tannic wine. Very long. This seems - believe it or not - to be too young, but still I'm a bit skeptical to the aging ability. Does it have enough fruit? Those who dare, try it. I surely will. This is clearly one of Spain's most exciting white wines.

  • Bright and fresh, lychee nose, some white peach faintly, followed by gooseberry and white strawberry on sipping. Almost reisling like with gentle waxy mouthfeel (I assume from the 30 months on the lees) towards the end of the palate and a long pleasant acidic finish. Enjoying this! Definitely a wine for the sun and with that fruit attack, waxy body and taut acidity pairs very well with food.

  • Bright and refreshing with a citrusy and mineral feel. Probably the best Albariño we crossed paths with a and with no signs at age 10 of wavering . Lots of life here and proper quality. 92 easy

  • A great wine and easily among the best Albariños out there and what they have achieved here is to creat a world class wine out of a humble base.
A touch tropical, citrus and with a full round almost creamy at times ( no feel of oak here at all) texture. Energetic but not sharp, nice soft rich feel. Very very good and a very worth 92
