This wine is beginning to mature quite beautifully based on the evidence of the bottle.
Still a big wine, it needs time to open up so long decanting is essential. The bouquet is one of fresh dark blue fruits, earthiness, dark chocolate, caramel and some cedar. Quite savoury with beautiful and high quality fruit, it is beginning to possess some secondary characters such as smoked cedar, more pronounced mocha and oak. Finish is perhaps not spectacular and long as one would like but it was quite fruit inspired - perhaps cherry notes.
Drink now or 10+ years.

Wow! Gorgeous big rich menthol and damson almost overwhelm the palate, along with notes of pepper, cake spice and wet stone. Blind I would have said this was Greenock Creek Roenfeldt Road, such is the quality and profile. Amazing acidity and tannin tingle the palate. Still young but drinking well now. Long and complex. 15% ABV. Despite my positive review it is almost too much, a wine to drink no more than a couple of glasses of on any one night - a bit like an Amarone in that way, though this is not not as big or rich as many Amarones.

Double decanted it essentially 2 hours before consumption but should have done it earlier. Very savoury wine, had a bit of green to it at the beginning but that disappeared. Dark fruits, had some cedar and earth undertone to it. Some love spice notes. Lovely acid to keep it flowing and oak well integrated. Medium tannins - still very youthful in its outlook.
Drink in 5+ years and way beyond that!

First thing you notice is the colour and the viscosity as you pour it, it looks like bulls blood. It’s not as much of a bruiser as that pour threatened though, with a fruity nose, and good flavours of summer berries, with good earthy undertones too. Quite a nuanced wine. Good length.

Bottle brought from the house to drink with the rest of them while renovating Oinoscent. The fruit was jammy, the tannins were soft, big and warm aussie red, ripe red and black fruit with sweet spice notes. It felt that it lacked real depth and complexity. Expected way more from this one even though I was not really certain what to expect. It didn't justify the price tag though

Deeply colored, rich, sweet and complex with depth of black fruit, spices, chocolate and lifted botanical notes of mint and eucalyptus, this is how I expect a top Shiraz to be. And although not a great fan of the style this is a very good wine! Absolutely ready to drink with time in hand.

Lovely wine with great balance. The nose has great fruit and delicious secondary spices and a lovely touch of VA. On the bigger side, as you might expect for and Aussie, but not overwhelming or unbalanced. Certainly drinking well now. PDQ93+

Stunning wine. Still richly purple and dense - plainly needs more time (I was getting impatient to try it). Decanted for 3 hours. It was still rich, but very together, lightly peppery, silky tannins. I'll go back to my earlier vintages and leave this at least 3 more years, maybe 5.

Ripe to overripe. Very Aussie in style. A bit out of balance, but very enjoyable and clearly well made.
