OMG, this wine rocked tonight, amazing bouquet, great fruit, smooth tannins, medium to full body, 13.9% abv, hit all cylinders, drank with chicken cous cous, a perfect pairing, not sure if the wine has matured or if this bottle is just great, I have not been overly impressed by some of my aged DDO wines but this was amazing, last bottle.

Medium ruby red with pink-orangey rim. Redcurrant, candied raspberry, orange blossom, wood, tobacco, spices, black pepper and earth. The acetone note still there, even thought more tertiary notes had developed since I last tasted 14 months ago. Medium bodied, medium-high acidity, medium tanning and medium-high alcohol. Long finish.

I liked this, but it had quite a sweet fruity nose (of course not actual sugar) upon opening. With more time, this became a bit more serious and started to show some darker fruit and spices. Not my preferred style of wine, but it was nice to try.

Beautiful crimson color. Nose is a bit subdued, but hints of red fruit, possibly orange and spice. Bright, tongue coating mouthfeel with firm tannins to start, give way to explosive red and black fruit, cinnamon, and a long satisfying finish. Ready but in no rush. Did not decant - evolved nicely in the glass. Not inexpensive, but really classy.

Time has helped this wine, earthy, good balance, decent fruit, drank with loin lamb chops, hummus and spinach pie, drank easily, medium body, structured and complex flavors.

Unusual vintage. Chocolate and acetone upon opening. Acetone dissipated after 2 hours, and concentrated red berries with jasmine tea emerged. Wine was slightly syrupy, and had a rhubarb pie finish. Not my usual cup of tea, but still interesting. I believe this bottle needed to open or decant for at least 2 hours before consumption.

Medium ruby color. Raspberry, black cherry, tea leaf, mushroom on the nose. Raspberry, mushroom on the palate with some watermelon Jolly Rancher aftertaste. ~30-32 sec finish. Paired perfectly with risotto al forno but not so well with other dishes. Honestly wasn’t so crazy with the QPR.

Good (even worth the—in my view non-trivial—price point), but only provided you treat this as a Burgundy 1er cru from some of the more demanding appellations. Based on my decanting, there is little point opening this before 2028. Sure, the pretty crushed raspberry aromas will then be gone; but more importantly so will be the strong, borderline nail-polish alcohol along with the unidimensional oversweetness. Besides, should then emerge a much more balanced, nuanced, and original taste profile of seaweed, salted cherries, light ginger bread, vanilla, and mint. 90-91

This was a great bottle. Opened a magnum for my wedding reception and was immediately struck by the nose of strawberries and flowers. Big fruits on this wine, cherries, blueberries, plums, mixed with a rich earthiness. Medium body, good tannins. This has years to go, but drinking well now.
Nose: The nose is polished, balanced, and deep with plums, red currants, strawberries, raspberries, red cherries, morning dew, spice notes, violets, and savory herbs.
Taste: The feel is Medium/Full bodied with crisp, medium+ acidity and polished, medium+ tannins. The feel is silky and refined with plums, strawberries, raspberries, red cherries, red currants, spice notes, violets, and savory herbs.
Overall: This is gorgeous already and there is clear room for it to grow. This is a clear step up from the rest of the lineup and a real lovely wine on the whole.

Strikes a fine balance between rich New World fruit and Old World earthiness and elegance, although still fairly primary at 4 yrs. Med ruby. Med (+) black cherry, pomegranate, strawberry, sassafras, sweet spices and earth. Dry, with med to med (+) acidity and tannins and high alcohol (14.1%), which, however, seems lower. Outstanding balance, with med (+) body, flavor intensity and length. Very versatile with food, it can handle seafood, grilled chops and even strawberries with aplomb, but is quite fine by itself. Lots of aging potential.

Had at CBCC with Laurent Drouhin and a paired dinner.
Aromatically closed compared to the 18' Cotes de Nuits. Aromatically restrained with possible light cherry but more raspberry. In mouth light raspberry and some mushroom. Best I can come with tonight. Just ok

Guess i am in tough mood tonight, Zephirine tasted like gasoline so we opened this bottle, needs time , acid stands out, good fruit, not sure about reviews, been disappointed by DDO, have 2 more bottles, pricey wine, drank with grilled leg of lamb and spinach pie.

A very nice Pinot, aromas and flavors of red fruit - cherry, raspberry and strawberry. Smooth, light tannins, and a pleasant medium long finish.
