Immediate, scrumptious, beautiful presentation of good Gamay. The wine was all around intense, with a ton of fruit and earthiness, a hint of beet quality, and just the faintest whiff of the esters that lean towards banana. Acidity was gentle but present, with absolutely no tannic structure. Only complaint is that the wine tended to be a little short, although the finish was pretty.

I liked it for what it is, a light, pleasant quaff with a simple weeknight meal or with a charcuterie plate. I was disappointed, however, because I was expecting something more sensational after reading so many 92++ tasting notes from others. Even so, a lovely gamay.

Even thought this is 'only' a Villages wine, it could easily pass for one of the crus. Very well made, great Gamay character. In a good spot right now.

Translucent purple Telltale bueajolaos aromas of cherry and watermelon Boisterous and very youthful with a finish tattooed on my palate. Cola and flambayed banana. This is a party.

This was lovely elegant Bojo. Leans toward cherry with some cranberry highlights. Wonderful elegance Doesn’t have the complexity of the single vineyard bottling but shows the polish of Foillard.

Violets, cranberry, and luscious earth. Great acidity and terrific balance. Elegant and beautiful, but also feels impressively ripe and rich for being lower alcohol.

Texas Wine School: Food & Wine Pairing (Houston, Texas): The wine has a deep ruby hue in the glass. On the nose, I smelled strawberry, red cherry, cranberry, and tea. On the palate, the wine is light-bodied, dry. It has medium plus acidity, and light tannins. I tasted notes of red fruit (strawberry, red cherry, and cranberry), plums, and there were some underlying notes of earthy minerality. Overall, the wine has a great mouthfeel and is well balanced.
for a Village level, this is cru-level without doubt. full of flavor and well-balanced, the floral and fruity bouquet and smooth, mouth-caressing mouthfeel are unbelievable, other than because Foillard was the creator. Super!

amazingly fragrant and drinking well! (really fuckin slippery cork!!!!)
very rich mouthfeel but lithe and displaying medium+ acid from start to finish. there's a beautiful, lengthy, and complete finish.
it's open! drinks significantly more rounded than Crus from Foillard/Breton/Lapierre, which I don't mind as so many are way too screechy or quirky or closed w/o bottle age.
while there are no fun/identifying quirks of the Crus here, this checks all the boxes of top-tier natty cru bojo--just without the premium.
hell yeah/duh
day two: excellent. no change up or down. sturdy shit on pnp

An unexpectedly large amount of sediment, so be careful. Good balance of bright cherry and Burgundian earth, with nice tea and floral notes. The palate shows good acidity, with fresh cranberry fruit and earthy notes on the finish. A great entry level Villages wine…definitely not a grocery store Louis Jadot. Well done.

Perfect weekday wine. Light and easy, brings moderate cranberry and white pepper character in a super chuggable package. I was a bit underwhelmed with this at first vs Foillard's bigger bottles, but my half case disappeared in a hurry. Delivers exactly what it's aiming for.

Opened 3hrs prior to dinner & chose to slow-ox in Riedel Burgs & btl till dinner. Semi translucent ruby red with some ambering on the outer edge. Perfuse aromas of red berries & forest floor. Mineral infused red fruit along with hint of cinnamon and more forest floor. Mirrors the Morgan profile but less sure footed. Still, a very intriguing "taste of Foillard" pedigree for $26 locally. Drinks more mature Burgundian than many Beaujolais. Throwing a fair amount of sediment. Handle btl w/ care. 12.5% alc.

A great example of Cru Beaujolais with liveliness and finesse at a consumer friendly price point.
Raspberry, strawberry and wild blueberry fruit with dusty minerality. Best of all is the silky, powdery mouthfeel. A joy to drink, and let evolve in the glass over time.

a fairly deep purple color, deeper than most Beaujolais Villages from other producers, cranberries and strawberries on the nose and good acidity and soft tannins on the palate. throwing down a bit of sediment. this has 2-3 more years to go.

Decanted. Now 2.5h after decant. Aromas of bright red cherries, bright blackberries, herbs and spices. Palate w interesting balance of bright, almost but not quite jolly rancher type red cherries, blackberries balanced nicely by savory stems, herbs and spices. Mild tannins on midpalate w excellent acids. Nice moderately long finish. Hits a nice balance of quaffability and just enough complexity to keep one's interest. Definitely a step or 2 down from his Morgon Cote du Puy and other crus, but pretty darn tasty nonetheless.

Perfectly fine beaujolais, snappy acidity, good fresh aromas and flavors, not complicated, not particularly deep, and definitely tails off and starts to show leaner on the palate after about 90 minutes open. Drinks like a nice $20 wine. But it's more expensive than that, and given what I can buy for the same or even less in beaujolais, it's simply not worth the price.

Light body, low tannins, high acid, not terribly complex but easy drinking. A fun wine, would probably be good for those who enjoy the lighter, somewhat funky character of “natural” reds.

threw it into a decanter and enjoyed over a couple of hours, fresh aromas of red berries, violets and jasmine tea start off the experience, attacks the palate with an energetic, tangy rush of red cherries, pomegranate, plum and mineral, concentrated, complete with a juicy finish, very well made, versatile with food, on this particular occasion it went well with slow cooked ribs with a tangy barbeque sauce, one of the great Beaujolais-Villages being made out there and a personal favorite
