Garnet in color. Raspberry and blueberry jam on the nose with a touch of warm earth. A slightly sweet, jammy palate of raspberry and cherry. Tasty and fun. Drinking well.

Inky core, garnet edges, blue and black fruit on the nose, sort of like a blueberry reduction in color and smell, with a hint of garrigue. Blackberry, rhubarb, strawberry, tons of white pepper and sage and garrigue on the palette, pepper and touch of alcohol heat in the silky, finish. Tannins are finely integrated, and have a chalky smoothness and minerality, with a sweet tart like sweetness and acidity. I think I may save the last bottle to see if the alcohol subsides but this is pretty amazing as it is.

My last bottle 😞......Right from the pnp it's classic Pesenti and drinks as expected over 2 hours of air. To me this is THE best and purest example of Cali zin made today. Just the right fruit profile blended with the right spicebox/pepper and acid profile. One big glass left in the bottle under a Repour stopper in the fridge overnight and enjoyed it with the leftover pizza this afternoon. No degradation overnight. This is always my fav vineyard from Turley and just continues to produce year in and year out.
2 years since my last tasting. Holding up wonderfully. Tannins have continued to smooth out, while the fruit is even more well blended. Drinking really well.
Always one of our favorites among the 40 or so vineyards Turley sources from. Beguiling spice box aromas, black and purple fruits and cherry jellybean, finishing with espresso beans and lavender. Didn’t require a decant. Drink now to 2028. Worth Seeking Out.
Excellent. Gave it an hour in the decanter. Powerful yet smooth with red and black fruit, oak, garrigue, something vegetal (in a good way, may be tomato?), coffee. Really quite tasty and amazing that is already in prime time. I wish I had another of these!
Third and last bottle. There has been a consistent explosive, though very well balanced & complex flavor with seemingly a different flavor present in each sip. Plum, garrigue, cherry, among others. Some pepper hints sneak in occasionally. Mouthfeel is on the acidic side but the only blemish is a bit of heat at the end. Third night was just as remarkable as the first. This was definately a WOW experience.
This continues to drink well. A rich blend of black and red fruits, it is complex and balanced with notes of tar, leather, plums, cherries, tobacco and Asian spices. It is amazing the complexity and depth that Turley can capture.

Reconnect with an old baseball friend yesterday....what was going to be a short visit with a glass, turned into 3+ hours and two bottles! Been about 6 months since my last bottle of this one and I can easily say, it's only getting better. Carol raved about this bottle the entire time. It really floated her boat. Taste profile consistent with the previous notes on this one, just more balanced and 'ready'. It's now firing on all cylinders. I don't see how it gets any better from here but I've got 1 or 2 left to find out for sure later this year!

Hats off to the Turley crew for the wines they’re creating from the humble Zinfandel grape. Sure, it helps to have old vine vineyards. But the winemaking just keeps getting better and better. Case in point their Pesenti offerings. These used to be much more rustic and, well, plain. The 2019 is elegant and just delicious. A decant would have made a big difference. But this came into its own after a couple of hours in the glass. Drink now to 2028. Outstanding.
Despite a 1 hour double decant, it did not fully open up until the 2nd day when it became the Pesenti that I love; delicious, drink with a longer decant or hold
My last bottle. Opened when I wasn’t happy with the B Cellars M Hopper Cab. So no decant. Very primary and fruity. Pleasant and drinkable. Good not great.

Just another classic Pesenti! Pnp'd during the Eagles/Titans game and enjoyed with Rotel, dogs and chips. Just a great NFL day combo! Absolutely predictable and dependable in what it provides. QPR is off the charts. I'm getting to the point where I may just order a bazillion of these with every allocation........
This is a Turley favorite for sure! So much ripe red raspberry. Great acidity and complexity. Integrated tannins. It drinks amazingly well right now. Could probably lay down for a few years too. Buy lots more of this.
Almost forgot we opened this one quite late on Friday night. Another crowd pleaser and similar to my previous notes. Primarily fruity, red berries. Left some in the original bottle with cork in and tasted exactly the same on night 2.

Similar to previous notes from July and August 21 so I won’t repeat scores or verbiage. This is another great wine for hotel rooms or a big crowd with varying wine palates. It is fruity enough for the mainstream to love it, and interesting enough for the winos. It this case it held up well to keep me entertained in my hotel room. (I do find that some wines just don’t travel well and don’t taste as good without the right temp, the right glass etc so good to have a few of these to go to)
Opened for about an hour plus. The nose is berry with some tobacco. On the pallet Black pepper, especially at first, yet light and juicy with red fruit with some strawberry Great with our burger and fries. The longer it was opened the more the fruit came out, not surprisingly. Two of us drank the whole bottle because we couldn’t stop. Great Zin.
2019 turley Presenti.. Dang (f*** it..might be the wine of the year) this is good. next year i buy just a case of this. raspberry blueberry on the nose ever changing . keeps evolving. minerality. spice. ahhh. what would this be like in 5 years. i will never know .. i cant keep my hands off this.
Decanted for 2.5 hours, Big nose of multi fruit aromas, bold flavors of red raspberry, blackberry, cherry, oak, soft palate with mild tannins, really a delight to drink.

Most of the time with work colleagues who pick wine I politely decline and then end up drinking sparkling water or similar, but Turley is one of the Cali wines that I think is enjoyable (even if this is a total baby). One can debate if they are the great zins or Ridge is the great zins of the area but both are good. This definitely had darker red fruits but it was balanced and not over ripe and a decent pairing for a steak. Of the menu in a Vegas restaurant where the mark-up was pretty egregious, but the kindof wine I'd have considered at that restaurant too.

I still can’t get over how good and interesting this is . Not only does it have intense bright and ripe fruit, but that doesn’t seem to be a trade off for anything else. There are still layers and layers of other things going on, spices and tea. Just so drinkable.

This could turn me into a Zin drinker. Such beautiful pure fruit, boysenberries and tart raspberries. Slight confectionary notes on the nose (like the sugar on the rice candy paper—Sasha’s comment). Nicely acidic, can’t taste the high alcohol. A winner Brought this on vacation for my Dad who doesn’t drink much wine but loved the Turley we had in an Atlanta restaurant a few months ago. He liked this one better!
holy crap.. what a freaking joy this is,.. dark ruby/purple with a clarity that is beautiful in the glass. nose: cherry pie baking spices, cinnamon? buttered warm pie crust. and a touch of minerality. palate. rich but acidic. .incredibly balanced. hint of earth. little to no tannins. Beautifully mouthwatering.. ripe red fruit to start. finish is long..and i mean long... constantly evolving.. this is a superstar.. 97 may be too low.. top 5 zin lifetime.. top 10 wine lifetime.. if you can find it.... BUY IT!
The epitome of what zinfandel should be like, at least to me! As Mike stated, superior intensity, depth and length. Throw in a scrumptious tasting profile (sorry, no forest floor), this years Pesenti is better than Dusi, and the 2018 Ueberroth.
15.6% abv. Dark ruby, very aromatic. Boysenberry, blue fruit, a bit of mint and Zin spice. Superior intensity, depth and length. This is really good now and will only improve over the next 3-8 years.
