Initially opened 4 days ago. Consumed most of it on day 1 and 2, forgot about it on day 3 and had the last partial glass on day 4.
Day 4 was actually the best compared to the first 2 days. Much more vibrant, lovely orange and orchard fruit, a touch of mineral. Well balanced. Day 1 and 2 seemed a bit closed and not as good as the 2019 I had completed earlier in the week. I have one more bottle of the 2020 and I suspect it needs more bottle age to do its best.

This pours medium straw in the glass. The nose is expressive upon opening but is even more so in the following hours to come. Aromas are of peach blossom, pear, honeycomb, nascent lanolin, dry crushed river rocks, and a vague touch of mustard seed. The palate is just gorgeous, entering on very present RS, which feels like 10 - 12 g/l, yet is balanced by screaming laser like high acidity. The finish is very long replaying the blossom, honeycomb, and river rocks of the nose. Just wonderful stuff that is providing immense early pleasure right now. This is just a classic and fabulous bottle of Huet and it's great to see the style continue despite the wine maker change. In particular here, the balance of sugar to acid here calls to mind great German Riesling, which my wife thought this might be when I poured her a glass.

A very appealing but slightly generic Huet Le Mont, the 2020 has a watery straw robe and showcases a nose centered on the classic golden cape gooseberry and mirabelle aromas, some lemony highlights, and a slightly candied sweet finish reminiscent of the frosting on lemon pound cake. In the mouth, that sweet touch is confirmed: this isn’t a sweet wine, but in fact is definitely not a dry one either, and the acidity is rather muted in favor of the ripe fruit. Medium finish.
My wife enjoys this a lot, and if she believed in scoring wines, might easily go with a mid nineties score, but for me this is a bottle that would have benefitted from being harvested a day or two earlier. Yet as a bistrot wine for near term consumption, it would be superb and hugely successful.

Le nez est fermé avec des arômes de saké (du Japon), des fumes d'alcool, touche d'oxydation. Bouche de vinaigre balsamique blanc et de saké. Est-ce que la bouteille était défectueuse ?
Meals in France; 4/30/2022-5/6/2022 (France): Restaurant BTG. Lightly floral with impressive weight and cut, really showing off its brightness and energy, as well a broad cross-section of orchard, citrus and bear tropical fruits. Still a bit tight, but lots here.

This was great stuff; the last couple of bottles I've had from Huet have had much more oxidative tones which has concerned me; trying this young only reinforced the fact that those bottles were oxidized prematurely... this bottle however was singing; peaches, pears, fresh hay, lemon zest, and crushed stone. This is classic. The palate has excellent depth and a long, saline tinged finish. I tried not to have another glass and failed

Round and ripe, with golden apple and yellow peachy tree fruit overlaid against the earthy Chenin wool. Broad and slightly alcoholic in the midpalate. Lacks the cut and length of the 2019, which I much prefer.

Definitely lighter than the 2017 was early on. Need to try against a 2019. Nicely balanced, looking forward to drinking more but not sure about longevity.

Pleasant, delicate flavors, sweetness nicely offset by mild acidity. Paired it with salmon in garlic anchovy butter alongside greens in a lemon shallot vinaigrette. Didn't work well, the wine battled against the richer flavors and was ultimately overwhelmed.

Green apple, bosc pear, ginger, chrysanthemum tea. textured wine, juicy acidity. A gentle smokiness on the finish. Solid wine would be great with some smoked salmon.

Pale & bright. Fresher and brighter than I normally think of Huet. Fresh lemon & pear. Sweet fruit, mid weight. Less phenolics and bitterness than the traditional profile. Pale and broad but not flabby. Lemon and apple.

Light+ bodied, traditional styling. Something like sesame/peanut oil and fresh stalky greens on the nose, really takes you to Thai food. Rich, complex palate goes in another direction altogether - honeysuckle, crushed almond, tree fruit skins. Palate is tight but it’s all there to reward a few years of cellar time. Long tail on the finish.
Another great Le Mont vintage following 2019. Their 2020 Clos du Bourg is great as well, if a little more up-front pleasing and less colorful intellectually. Aquired a case of both.

Acidité moy, longueur moy-, léger sucre résiduel, pas tant de fruits.
À boire à court terme si on se fit à cette bouteille.

Maybe too young, vibrant, tangy, a bit too much for me.

This is another lovely bottle; similar to my prior and simply delicious; paired with some tamales and it worked really quite well.
