Quite primary still, showing fleshy red fruit, plums, ripe cassis, and a touch of oak. My last experience with this (a few months ago) showed a bit more tobacco and terroir notes, but this demi stayed primary over two days. I suspect this will evolve into something similar to the 2009, which I quite liked.

Tasting with Florent Genty at Pichon Lalabde in Enoteca Ginza. Cedar, dark currants, cocoa, purple fruit and oak on the nose. Palate had food precision and firmness with medium plus stuffing and fine tannins. It was creamy and elegant.

Black currants, cedar, mint and cocoa show right off the bat in the nose. On the palate you find intensity, ripe, sweet, creamy blackberries, lift and length with a soft, engaging finish that delivers a lot of bang for the buck. This is probably the best vintage of Chateau de Pez I have ever tasted. Drink from 2024-2045.

(51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 43% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot, 13.4% Alkohol) Offene Nase, sehr delikat, Cassis, Brombeeren, florale Noten, Weihnachtsgewürze. 2026-2044 (Verkostet am 8. 92-93 vvPunkte (51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 43% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot, 13.4% Alkohol) Delikate, komplexe Nase, viele florale Düfte, dazu schwarze Johannisbeere, Weihnachtsgewürze, Leder. 2027-2040+ (April/Mai 2021)

The spicy character is just great here. Instantly it adds character and complexity to the perfectly ripe, juicy, fresh, red fruits. Soft, round and inviting, the ripeness and energy in the red berries keeps on going from the mid-palate straight through to the finish. 91-93

Super young and fruity at first, but good acid; needs at least an hour to bring out the earth and balance.

아직 너무 어려 여리한 향
뽕따직후 열리기 시작하여 산미가 올라오다가
비로소 열리고 난 후에 딸기향이 느껴지

Decanted for 60 minutes. Dark cherry and blackberry with some chocolate, strong tannins. Should develop for years to come.

UGCB tasting Bordeaux 2020 Walkaround tasting so in general just short notes (Beurs van Berlage, Amsterdam.): Red and dark berries and a firm dose of oak which needs to integrate more. Good acidity and sticky tannin. 91 – 92
