Served cold to offset where I think I drank the 2013 too warm the night before. Served with a filet steak. Great pairing as the Pinot noir notes really came out.

Interesting Champagne, a couple of years ago we had a comparison of the white label Pol Roger and this one. All agreed that the more basic white label (a.k.a. Reserve) is outscoring the Vintage.
This time to my surprise, the Vintage beats the Reserve by a bit. The roundness of the Reserve was a bit boring - but don’t get me wrong, both are super-sexy.
N. Elegant, Brioche, Almond but also herbs and mineralic notes (wet stone in the sun), nice complexity underneath
T. Boom! Really cool acidity (5 days open) and great complexity, still a curvy beauty with also some butter hints and oak, all very well built in!

Faint, pleasant brioche balanced nicely with citrus. A nice balance of delicate creaminess and clean acidity. The bubbles description by GRANDESERATAFUORI is perfect: light, soft, persistent bubbles. I really enjoyed this wine, and it was the bubbles of the night for the group.

Medium gold colour in the glass. Fine bubbles but not as lively as expected given relative youth. Nose of apple brioche but fairly laid back. Palate presents a very effervescent dry light body of toast zesty crème fraiche. Medium acidity with a long finish. Well balanced taste profile and has complexity and finesse - just underwhelming at the price point.

Deep golden in the glass with persistent bubbles. Good complexity on the nose, with the stone/citrus fruit coming together with the yeasty/bready profile. Soft bubbles on the palate, moderate acidity and light body. Nice, but slightly overpriced in my opinion.

#2 Cata Amics Porreres - Champagne: The wine looks yellow gold colored. It smells like lime, apricot, peach, mineral, stoniness, toast, honeysuckle, biscuity, bready, leesy and honey. The body is light/medium. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium+ acidity.

Fresh and lively at this stage with vibrant acidity made from a blend of 60% PN and 40% Chardonnay. Was a surprise how easy drinking this 2015 vintage magnum already is. Pale straw colour, fine mousse. Aroma of lemon, honey, apple and yeasty touches with nutty hints. Palate is bursting with fresh and bright acidity, flavours of citrus zest, brioche, toasty and autolytic hints.

Very elegant nose of apples, underripe pear, spring flowers and light brioche, with an underlying chalky note. Refined and weightless mouthfeel, a fine but rich mousse, soft and pillowy with a perfectly balanced fine acidity. Slight hint of creamy nuttiness on the finish hinting there is more to come with further bottle age. 93+

Very much in agreement with previous reviewers. Nice light golden color out of the bottle with medium effervescence, fairly typical. I loved the structure here: amazingly fresh nose of citrus, ginger, and orange peel, all very primary right now. Supported with a wonderful acidity that is perfectly placed at this point in its lifecycle leading me to think the wine will evolve very nicely. I didn’t get some of the secondary elements others identify (hazelnuts, grilled bread, etc) as it drank very “young “ to me, but we also drank this rather quickly with a large crowd so perhaps some air would’ve brought out more complexity. Definitely a 94+ bottle in a few years. I also rated the 2015 PR Brut Rose highly, so seems like this vintage was a a very good one for this house.

Pale lemon colour. Small and lively bubbles. Medium (+) and developing nose with brioche, biscuit, yellow apples, lemon, wet stone, butter and caramel. Medium (+) taste of brioche, biscuit, yellow apples, lemon, wet stone, butter and caramel. Long and dry finish. High acidity. Medium body. A very good Vintage Champagne that is well structured and complex. Needed 15 min of air to open. Drink w or over the next 15 years. Goes well as an aperitif, or with cured meat or shellfish.

Beautiful and very pure nose of yellow Apple, lemon and muscat. Graceful nose and a lush palate, the structure of the bubbles gives this an awesome mouthfeel, superb wine making. After an hour or two, more red fruit appeared and it gained in depth and breadth. Wonderfully long finish. Equally enjoyable cool and right after opening and warmer with no bubbles. A super buy at this price point.

Part of a tasting dinner with colleagues. From Magnum: Delicate but a sense of richness. Plenty bright and fresh. Really creamy palate, lovely freshness and excellent lift – fluffy and cloud-like. Seems to have far more energy than out of bottle a week or so ago… super, elegant… I can see the appeal now.

(Disgorged in 2021, 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay) Light yellow colour with a greenish hue and a stream of fine bubbles. Fresh bread, hazelnuts and some lime citrus notes in a very pleasant way. Fruitful palate with a softened acidity showing red apples with a refreshing mid to late showing fresh cut grass and some minty notes with a some lime juice bitterness on the finish. Good showing and well drinking, yet missing some of the intensity and feeling of Pol Roger at this point. Hopefully it will come with some further post disgorgement cellaring. (Best 2025-2035)

Mid gold appearance The nose offers a sinewy turn of lemon citrus, oily and vinous, and overall fresh and clean cut. Delicate orange notes besides, and with some time baked bread and pâté, a sense of richness that made me think of gingerbread.
The attack has a fine prickle punctuating a voluminous palate – this is rich and creamy with lovely acidity and plenty of chalky grip. More gingery rich/bready flavours, apple skin bitterness. Intense but becomes more fleeting and ethereal towards the finish. Attractive and flattering but didn’t grab me today. Perceived wisdom is this will develop well with time... we'll see!
