Spicy pineapples, with accents of ginger, Meyer lemons, caramel and honeyed tropical fruits shoot from the glass, ending with a fresh, racy, sweet, vibrant, honeyed, tropical finish. Drink it young, or age it for decades. Drink from 2024-2050.

UGCB tasting-Amsterdam 2021 Bordeaux 03-04-2024: Honey, a whiff of vanilla and wax, some cinnamon, a bit lower in its acidity than de Fargues, so a bit less freshness.

Fabulous, clementine, creme pat, bergamot. So alive in the mouth, full of acid, orange cream, lush, long. Really enjoyable. Lost half the crop - the top of the hill made it through. Few Sauternes and Barsac made wine this year.

Union Des Grands Crus Bordeaux (New York City, NY, USA): I am not certain I have the correct vintage for this note...At the large tasting in NYC, the Sauternes/Barsac tables were pouring different vintages than the rest that were all pouring 2021 Bordeaux. this wine I tasted was 80% Semillon with most of the rest Sauvignon Blanc with a small amount of Muscadet. Nicely balanced, Rich and dense but still bright. Honey, apricot, botrytis, and a little yeasty. Very long finish. Lovely!

Bordeaux 2021 Arrivage Tasting (Dolder Grand, Zurich): Slightly chemical touch of linoleum. But fresher, more citric fruit. Very limited spice and saffron. Sweet, only modestly creamy palate. Felt neither here not there.

UGCB SF Tasting Event (Metreon, San Francisco): Simple, but tasty. Grapefruit, good zingy acid, not a ton of botrytis. Very young. 88

Wally's Presents L'Union des Grands Crus Bordeaux Tasting (Vibiana DTLA): Way too young at this point, IMO. Wouldn't touch for 5+ years

Simply superb - nectarine, which peach, flowers, almond; a gorgeous depth and purity, its intensity matched by richness and fantastic acidity.
