This has evolved beautifully and is now spectacular. Intensely fragrant nose of violet , tar, black fruit and a touch of mushroom. Medium acidity and a beautiful palate of dark fruit, leather, rose petals and truffle. Transitioning to vanilla cream and firm but sweet tannins and a LONG finish. What an absolute joy to drink.

Packing a punch - everything that makes barolo great - delicacy on the nose and then a really smooth flavour - tannins now smooth and all in all everything in balance

Not too innovative as name on the bottle suggests. Very round and ready, nose of everything you are expecting from ready to drink barolo: strawberry and some plums on one side and tar and chocolate and minerality on another. Just enough of tanins with amazing long finish. Great. Drink 2016+

Nice color. Fragrant nose of violet and tar. Nice aciditiy up front with some red fruit and a strawberry rhubarb component on the back end, with firm tannins. This was quite well structured and seemed very approachable, which appear to be improved from the note of 3 years ago. This was quite delicious.

Very pretty aromatics that only lasted 15 minutes in glass. Beautiful sotto bosco, tobacco, plummy fruit and chocolate notes....the wine fell apart to alcohol and wood within a matter of 30 minutes...palate was very concentrated but far too angular with a clenching mid palate and bitter extraction. 90 points for the first 15 minutes of drinking. From mag in la morra.

Needed two hours to open up and soften the tannins. Licorice , tart cherry, currants and savory notes with a mineral and iodine finish.

Fantastic. One of the best 2004 to date. I was fearing a "modern" expression, but instead it had a perfect ballance

May have drank too young because two days in the fridge showed some improvement in balance.

Some nice tar and roses on the nose. Good mouthfeel, dry sour cherries and a hint of oak. Big, firm tannins.
