Beautiful rich golden hue. Great acidity, perfect balance of sweet and crisp, with a roundness that almost verges on dessert wine. Nice flavors of green apples and pineapples. Saw a recommendation from Food & Wine that an off-dry Riesling would pair well with homemade mac & cheese - that was very much the case tonight (along with grilled sausages and broccoli.)

Really terrific. Great paired with jambalaya. Off dry, mineral hints, only slight hints of petrol, a bit of citrus, gives kind of a sweet apple impression overall. Well-balanced with a long finish.

This is starting to show a little age and was very pleasant indeed. The over sweet 2007 character had subsided a bit, which made the wine a whole lot more pleasurable to drink. On the nose, little tones of slatey mineral were starting to come out amidst the more honeyed stone fruit notes. The palate felt sleeker and more balanced as well. The fruit was still rather fuller and more plump than one would normally associate with a Kabinett of this age, with peaches and pineapples on the attack; but the cut and freshness has started showing more, as were dryer nuances of citrus zest and stony mineral leading into a nicely long finish with a nice bittersweet grapefruit tang and a little drift of petrol. This is shaping up quite nicely indeed. It will always be on the riper side, but give it a few more years to shed what is left of its puppy fat and integrate a bit more and it should be a really nice drink. 91+

Gold-toned yellow. Gardenia and lemon nose. Medium to full bodied, oily in a good way, sweet grapefruit with a tang to it, good minerality, and a long finish with a touch of sweetness. Really a wonderful wine with plenty of time left.

WOW, the wine of the night. Golden color. Nose of honeysuckle, peach, lemon zest. Outstanding acidity. Length and finish. The wine just follows you all night. What an effort.

A very nice kabinett. Light and fresh with beautiful purity of fruit. Peach, hints at honey, some minerals. Wonderful to share with friends on a warm spring afternoon.

Flabby. Needed more acid to balance it out. Great flavor profile but just didn't have enough zing. Like a fruit cocktail. Good but needed more stuffing.

Sweet fruits, white flowers, incense and a little kerosene notes started emerging with time. Nice appertif though it was a little sloppy and would have been better if it is dryer.

Sweet fruits, incense and some floral notes. Lightweight and a little sweet, but balanced by good acidic backbone. Just short of that little character and punch though.

slightly dull nose with some SO2 - a bit broad and lacking precision though clearly from the mosel. Nice inoffensive riesling but lacking real character, cut or thrust. a bit muddled. Disappointing

Enjoyed with Christmas dinner (deep fried turkey). Can't go wrong at this price, though it was lacking the petrol that I have come to enjoy from German Rieslings. Light, refreshing, not overly sweet. I would prefer more complexity, but it works well when your dinner guests are not typically wine drinkers.

Pale yellow appearance. Lots of mineral scents on the nose and almost a bit dusty. Quite sweet. Some acid. Apple is really the only flavor I can get--along with the minerality. Not a varietal I usually drink, but this one is delicious.

Wow, this bottle was even better than the last bottle, outstanding just to sip late at night with my wife. Very easy drinker, who's low alc 9% doesn't make you pay for it in the morning. Definitely a little petrol on the nose, along with peach and melons...a little softer than the last bottle, but still nice acidity sweet fruit, and a long soft finish..A winner for sure and a great QPR...Will definitely buy more if I can find it

Drinking beautifully now. Fresh and lively. Very nice nose of white fruit (apple, peach) with a bit of citrus. Follows through on the palate with the acid which makes the mouth water. Enjoyed with new friends at the Carlton in Pittsburh.

Light color, apples on the nose. The first thing that struck me about this wine was that it was sweeter than I expected for a Kabinett. On the palate, good acidity, green apples and sweet pears. Actually had a slight frizante. The wine was a smooth drinker and very good. Nice smooth long finish. I really enjoyed it and thought it to be a great value for the price. 90+ points

This wine made me finally understand why I like Riesling so much. It's very much a reflection of its terroir. You can tell pretty easily where a Riesling comes from by tasting it and there's little subtlety around it. This one, like any other Mosel Rieslings, has that unique minerality and balanced approach. I'd like it to be higher in acidity but it's definitely more of a personal preference.

Apples, nice acid, good depth with some mosel minerality. I think it is currently hinting at would it could be. Tiny bit frizzante. Great QPR for a Goldtroepfchen QmP.

Petrol, peach and citrus on the nose. I also got a slight cream and bar soap component that night as well. Picked up some apple, apricot, and starfruit flavors. Nice, bright acidity and a nice sweetness. Drank very well, especially for this price point.

Very solid Reisling. I haven't had a 2007 I didn't like yet... perhaps this will turn out to be an excellent vintage? Apple dominates the nose for me, and it continues to dominate on the palate. But, I also think I picked up a lemon-like component lurking in the background that I found really refreshing. Very nice persistence and length as well.

Warning : I am a riesling noob. Upon first opening this wine, the aroma was very lite and gave the impression of a dry wine. After some time in the glass I got a very interesting petrol aroma that I could only describe as reminiscent of machine grease... That migh not sound appealing but it was. I also got some apple.. The body is light/medium light and follows thru with apple and some residual sweetness... If I had to rate it I would say about 87 ?

Light yellow color with a hint of frizzante. Green apples, pears, honey and a hint of petrol on the nose. Similar flavors on the palate with some wet rock/minerality. Clean, crisp on the palate and finish. Residual sweetness makes this a great pairing with spicy stir fry. Very nice 07 mosel riesling.

Not a fair tasting note because I was under the weather when I drank this but this wine has all the makings of a solid mosel riesling. Light yellow color with a hint of frizzante. Green apples and pears on the nose along with a little honeycomb and blue stone. High acidity makes this the perfect food wine. Clean on the palate with all of the same flavors on the nose as well as some minerality. Enjoyable finish. Will be better in a year or two IMO.

Not quite as dry as I like my riesling. Good minerality upfront--some rocks and such--and some decent ripe pear but just not enough acid for me. A hair too much sweetness on the finish. 87pts.
