Drink between 2008 - 2010 my ass. What an amazing wine. Chilled and then decanted. Bright golden colour. Intense aromas of fresh pineapple, honey, butterscotch, figs and red apples. Pure mouthfeel with a great balance of waxiness. Incredibly ethereal on the palate with rich flavours of apricot, mango and some salinity. The small amount of Semillon is clearly dominating now which makes this a perfect mid-point between an aged Hunter Valley Semillon and the more classic Peter Michael Chardonnays. Definitely not your average Sauvignon Blanc.

W some asian chicken dish (COVID period). Spectacular wine and good combo. This is a 25 year SB. So full of fruit, length, body, interesting flavors and i can go on and on. Spectacular. ApresMidi will always my super embarressing wine when i argued with a sommelier in London that this was chardonnay. Totally stupid!!

Fine California white Bordeaux blend with 10+ years bottle age. 92% sauvignon blanc, 8% semillon in 2007. Semillon notes have come forward, reminding me somewhat of a Domaine de Chevalier blanc. Delicious at this stage.

Now totally mature, but still very lively. Tastes more like an aging white bordeaux than a pure sav blanc…maybe there's some other grapes in with it???? But a very nice wine.
W Charles for cocktails. Very good wine, beautiful color nice restraint but expressive nose and solid on the palate. Not yr regular sauvignon blanc of citrus, grass and steel. This had a long finish and indeed some cream to it. Needs food and will live a few more years. Lasted well into day 2.

Really drinking nicely--wish I had more. All kinds of citrus with nothing predominating--just perfectly balanced with a long finish-surprisingly long for SB. I won't be in a hurry to open the remainder.

Chosen specifically to pair w tuna and crustacean, it was void of the pear and peach one might expect from this varietal. Buttery and spiced in a baking ingredients sort of manner, I'm thinking they put the wrong label on a bottle of kistler chard. In any case, still a quality drinking experience w plenty of life left.

Another big Sauvignon Blanc that has rich and tangy citrus fruit. Heavier use of oak gives this wine a fullness you don't usually expect with SB. Enjoy!!!

Pale yellow, forward nose of citrus, apple, flowers and vanillin oak. Plenty of fruit and oak on the palate, medium body, good acidity, medium finish. I'm not typically an oakaphobe when it comes to red wines or even Chardonnays, but it seems out of place for a Sauvignon Blanc. Very good, excellent if you like the oak.

Served as an aperitif at May 16 Chaine event. From memory: Light yellow color. Little to no grass on the nose. Typical SB palate of gooseberry, citrus and minerals. Refreshing acidity. Nice but nothing special.

Citrus, quince and peppermint on the nose. Grapefruit, pineapple, sour apple and a spike of acidity on the palate. Very long finish, with residual honey flavors that linger for minutes. Not a guzzeler--more a thinker drinker

Incrediable pairing with fresh Chincoteague oysters on the the half shell. As Mr. Nowak indicated, privious bottles did not show as well as his last, which certainly supports the notion that no great wines exist, only great bottles waiting to be opened when the time is right. I don't know if it's the night, the time, the position of the moon, a particular bottle, the gods, my mood, or my palate, but this wine was clicking on all cylinders tonight. Showing loads of fruit, without anyone componet dominating, not grassy with good acidity. However for $40+ for CA SB this wine should click with every bottle no matter what the curcumstance.

considering the performance of previous bottles, i am shocked at the terrific wine i encounter tonight. true to the grape and region, it's a fabulous domestic SB. mild grapefruit, pear, green apple, nice acid. this is close to the SB standard by which i judge all others, araujo eisele. i enjoyed it's strong personality that never got overwhelming, and was an excellent companion to the shrimp cocktail and wild salmon we paired it with. recommended!

2007 does not appears to have the ebullient fruit of previous versions. I usually really enjoy these. BYO at R'Noh Thai Larkspur. Muted nose. slightly tart. could have been the house Sauvignon Blanc. Two more bottles will try again soon.

Pale yellow color with bouquet of tropical fruit and some oak. The wine has good fruit with decent acidity that went well with our meal. A little oaky and heavy for a sauvignon blanc but decent overall.

Pale yellow/gold color. Rich nose with flowers, citrus, but pretty heavy on the oak. Good fruit concentration, medium body, a bit flabby/oaky - does better at cooler temps to make up for some lack of acidity, but if you can get past that and the amount of oak for a sauv blanc, the fruit is there. Very good-excellent.

The Blind Drunks monthly tasting (Bistro Thai, Geneva, Illinois): Notes of citrus, lime and grass, with nice citrus tones on the palate. The finish lingers just a bit, and shows very nice acidity and fruit. Not the bets value around, but very good nonetheless.

The wine ranged from an 88 to 92 for me so picking the midpoint. Flowery citrus on the nose. Palate was quite rich with moderate acidity. Probably a bit too rich for a sauvignon blanc. High alcohol definitely shows. Enjoyed it but probably not for everyone.

this wine is rather thin, and not as richly textured as other vintages, which surprises me because i anticipate 07 being a strong vintave for PM whites. i'm getting primarily oak on the nose, and only background citrus notes. if it were merely delicate, fine, but this wine lacks structure and acid. disappointing.

Popped and poured. This wine never lets down. It had a pale golden yellow color, and a mineral and slight pungent citrus spice nose, a little white flower as well. A rich and deep mouthfeel, with some pink grapefruit, straw, granite mineral, and crisp acid, very balanced and quite long.
