Good, but not great. Flavors were nice but mid palate was a little lacking and the finish was rather short. The 1911, though harder to find and substantially more expensive, absolutely blows this out of the water. And I actually prefer their basic Brut to this bottling.

Friske, søte epler på duft, nesten litt Mozel. Ikke i nærheten av den syren jeg forventet gitt V6. Minner veldig om Turgy NV, bare mindre intensitet, konsentrasjon og renhet.

Blind Tasting of 13 champagnes from 13.06.2015 (83-93 points)
I l liked it as always, very spicy and a lot of minerality, I guessed BdB, that was wrong, some vegetabel notes, brioche but not that typical bread crust usually you get from A. Clouet 3rd in my ranking, 3rd place overall, 3 times No.1 92 points

In 47-52 degree storage since 2003. Bubbles subdued - not surprising given its age. Gold but not necessarily deep gold in color. Honey pinot on the nose followed by a really powerful pinot noir mouthful -but perhaps lacking a bit at the finish initially. Not the case after an hour. The pinot noir quality and richness of this Clouet is right up there with Bollinger to mention one.

Purchased locally for what I thought was a good price, this Champagne was pleasant. As a non-dosage Champagne, this was predictably dry and packed with both toasted nut and citrus flavors. Nice mid-palate and finish. Only minor issue for me was that the bead was too coarse, which made the texture a little too rough for me, but that might be splitting hairs. Very nice drink, but in the $40 price range, one can do better with other producers.

Popped and poured at cellar temperature. Lots of medium sized bubbles. Nose shows truly pure aromas of strawberry, apples, and pears. Such a pleasing, succulent smell. Mouthfeel is creamy, almost like shooting whip cream in my mouth, showing dusty flavors of attic dust mixed with baking soda, and a hint of sulfur. Lots of minerals on the finish... feels like chewing up quartz covered in apple juice. Drinking alone, but this would probably be even better with food. Again Clouet is offering amazing value with this wine... great stuff. I give a slight overall edge to the Rosé, but they are different wines and I will keep both around. It's time to explore his vintage wines.

This is really nice. Great citrus and apple. Bone dry in a good way. The only deduction I have to make is that the bead and mousse are too coarse and the wine consequently turns flat too quickly. Otherwise a solid Champagne, especially for those who like non-dosage Chamapgne.

Very dry, no-dosage champagne. With time it opened up a bit - the fruit flavors reflect 100% Pinot Noir - berries and red apple flavors. Not an apertif champagne as it needs food to shine. Very large bubbles and mousse. It was a champagne that was hard to get a handle on. At ~ $40 it is on the borderline of value.

Drank for my second daughter Anna's birth. Sl darker in color. Green apple and toast on the nose. Palate feel was very clean/crisp with a bit of red berry present. Different than the average champagne.....maybe due to the 100% pinot or the lack of added sugar. Very good but not quite as magnificent as Matt Kramer made it out to be.

100% Pinot Noir. Pale copper color. Youthful nose of fresh red apple and very light toast. Good tension on the palate, with more of the same red apple and some spice. I was a bit more impressed with a recent bottle of Clouet's NV Rose (see TN); however, I would suspect the present cuvee will be better with a year+ in the cellar. Regardless, at $25.49 retail after discount, this is another great grower Champagne value.
