Meo makes lovely Brulees and this 07 pnp had cherry jumping out of the glass and then there was a lovely firm backbone to it holding it all in frame. We decanted it and it opened up somewhat but it felt around 5 years away from peak and will be a long lived wine as Meo tends to age really well in my experience. If you own them no rush wait a bit more and you have a beauty on your hands.

The weightlessness and touch of sexiness with toasty and roasted aromas to complement the fruit and minerality are the highlights. Overall quite great and easily 94 pts with also a touch of depth missing for the 95+ pts category.
TN: Toasty, sexy nose, slightly reductive, dark pure berries. Fun, if you like reductive notes. On the palate this is just wonderful with so much weigthlessness, really no shread of weight, full of roasty and toasty notes, ripe but not too ripe darker and dark red berries, minerality, harbs and earthy notes in the backgroung. The structure is impeccable with probably a 97% but 100% perfectly integrated acidity and a medium+ but not very long.
Decanting: Not decanted, needed a bit of swirling to get out of its shell but no extensive decanting necessary.

PnP with a quick double decant. Simply gorgeous aromatics that meld black cherry and Vosne spice with earth and new leather. The palate is plush and silky with refined structure. Everything is in the right place and this is drinking splendidly now.

A wow wine that is in the zone. Effusive and seductive nose of spice-filled black fruit with new leather and toasted herbs. The palate is moderately concentrated with a silky and suave personality. Intense flavors with a long, beguiling finish.

Phenomenal bouquet as previous bottles. The fresh strawberries were so immersive from uncorking till the last drop. OTOH, the non-speculating palate was very 2007. It's indeed quite disappointing considering its' status. 95 for aroma and 89 for palate. Can't see room for further improvement.

PnP. A great show from the beginning to the end of the dinner. Classical Vosne spices in the elegantly deep strawberries-dominated layered bouquet. Lingering palate composed by sumptuous red fruits, spices, herbs and mineral. The vintage attributes to the lesser structure but still a very complete palate. What a lovely bottle!

Really lovely. Just starting to open and show. Quite feminine and seductive, medium weight, strong finish. Touch of spice. Best in a few years more but very good now.

Uncorked three hours before dinner. Intoxicating floral and fresh strawberries bouquet. The aroma was complex and layered but on the feminine side which I would expect from a Leroy/P Roch rather than a Meo. Palate was as generous as the aroma with delicious fruits, very subtle mineral and dancing acidity. Its' light body showed its vintage. Both aroma and palate started to drop in around a hour after serving. Anyway, it's very ready right now. What a wonderfully pure juice!

Dang man. WOTN. damn. Purity of fruit. Amazing complexity. Has that all new oak but charred trying down to a T (not sure if that's true, just what it tastes like). Qualitatively reminds me of drc vosne 1er. Without stems. Great now but no rush and will improve.

The nose itself warrants 93+ points , a very alluring nose of red berries and straw berries smoothie, crush stone and asian spice which reminds me of a Calera Jensen Pinot. The wine is ripe and sweet, tasty on the entry but the palate and aftertaste is short! Acidity is low , which indicates is the best time to drink it sooner than later...

Nose had candied fruits, red fruit and flowers. Nose was spectacular, but the palate was a bit thin for what it was due to the vintage. Drink now and the next 5 years. 91+

Medium ruby to garnet, fresh strawberry, spicy but sharp acidity lacking sufficient backbone as support, would also like to see some sweetness here to gain more finesse.

Medium red in color, took an hour to open up, when it does, what a nose! Dark tea like aromas, dark red fruit with violet tones, lots of spices and a touch of unresolved new oak. Medium palate with decent depth, not the biggest of wine, but am sure will turn wonderful in another 3 years, very fine tannins. Can just smell this forever and ever.

Birthday Dinner (Yusho - Chicago IL): Lots of fresh red cherry aromas and flavors, modest hints of baking spice. Short finish, slightly simple, this has some earthy character already starting to emerge. A Brulees to enjoy young.

So alluring and accessible in red fruit spectrum. The immediate pleasure upon pop and pour offset the slightly lighter palate of the 07. 93-94

Birthday Celebration (State Street Manor & Racquet Club - Chicago IL): Walk around tasting, brief note from memory. Very Vosne-charactered with red fruit and Asian five spice. Good weight and depth, just not at the same level of this wine in its best vintages.

2007 so light almost slightly dilute, really have to search for the flavors with a scarce cherry and pomegranate flavor.
