Purchased 7/06, drinking it nearly three years later. Delicious aromas of spicebox, earth, cherries, plums. Terrific spicy palate, with the fruit no longer primary. In the background there are plums, black cherries and yes some chocolate in the finish. Shows the aging potential of the wine--tasting very different from those who reported on it earlier.

Excellent bottle. Strong nose of fruit and earth. Palate of fruit as noted elsewhere, I also picked up a pleasant undertone of woodiness. I found the finish to be long and satsifying. I was not looking forward to this bottle as I had one a couple of years ago from the same vintage that may have been corked (and I didn't know it) or just needed more time. In any event, I will be picking more of this up.

Nice, dark red/purple with a tinge of amber at the rim, sour cherry, smoke, very fruit forward, nicely balanced, simple with medium length (88 Points).

This wine was a pleasant surprise. I am a fan of Spanish Mourvedre - absolutely great QPR. But a Californian? I doubt that I would purchase this wine again, since there are for more interesting Spanish Mourvedres at comparable prices. Nevertheless, this is a nice, pleasant quaff. The nose was treated to leather and cedar notes. The palate was greeted with pleasant and straightforward middle notes.

Nice, it was medium bodied, with a very sweet-fruit nose, it was smooth/soft on the palate with barely perceptible tannins, with a pronounced sweetness, the finish was short-medium in length (86 Points).

Bouquet of cherries, raspberries, strawberries, chocolate and earth, while in the mouth this wine revealed soft tannins and paired well with food. The alcohol did come through the wine, but it is low in acid and shows lots of fruit. A nice QRP wine.

A very nice wine at this price point. Got teh raspberry nose, a little earth, nicely balanced for my palate, a little hot at first, but after sitting for abit seemed a little 'cooler'. Great real food wine - had with a nice dry rubbed roast done on the grill.

This is pleasantly different. Strong, dusty earth nose. Light tannins. This is juicy, with ripe acidity and great but not overbearing fruit. Not real old world. It seems like Cline is letting the grape express itself, and this works, at a great price point. Nice job.

Dry nose at first...herbal almost. Tasted chocolate. Med tannic...decent finish. Nice fruit taste lingers. Label describes eucalyptus and I can agree with that almost...something herbal to the taste. Wonder what it will be like with more age.
Interesting wine. B

Very intresting wine. Red rasberry on the nose with a strong suggestion of fresh mint. Medium bodied, low acid, and defintley a fruit forward bottle, with strawberry notes, framed by an appropriate use of oak. The finish had a nice bark element ot it, and this went very well with my chicken tandoori.

Mo-Mourvedre at MoMo's: Blind Red 5 - Bit of oak on the nose, then bark, fur. Sweet cinnamon attack with concentrated red fruit. Rich berry fruit. Highish, sweet alcohol. Decent.

Still okay - but not delicious. Drink it or toss it. Your call. Beware before serving to guests.

Short Decant. Dark purple color. Smoke nose. Some cork & smoke taste. Somewhat of a stange taste, not a wine to my liking. Drink now.

A pleasant wine that became more interesting as it breathed. Tasted of mature fruit (maybe even a touch raisiny) and seemed a lot like a Zinfandel.

Not great. In fact, I didn't like it. Not complex at all, just didn't do it for me.
