From Coravin. Slightly metallic, a melange of fresh stone fruit compote, honey, sweet spice, slightly oxidised here as well: touches of bruised apple. Juicy, fresh stone fruit with ripe apple in support, medium plus length, a little gum grip, touch of cream on the finish. Lovely.

From Coravin. Showed serious signs of weeping cork in the past. Cleaned it up with the standard butterflied trepidation before applying the Coravin. On the nose, especially compare to the Piesporter Grafenburg by the same producer and of the same vintage, it's a bit flat...some muted/dull cream and honey, almond backed by a little peach and apricot. In the mouth things are a lot better. Medium plus intensity acidity is quite lemon citrus, similar fruit sweet flavours, perhaps a slight herbaceous and almond underpin with some mid palate texture. Good.

Tasted blind. I thought it was an Auslese - quite concentrated and sweet, with notes of ripe pineapple and flint. A ‘big’ Riesling of a very different style to most Mosels.

Loved this. For me, near perfect integration of fruit, oak, sweetness, and acidity. The only white wine that continues to haunt me to this day. Wish I had bought more...
Riesling and Kraftwerk (My place, parramatta, sydney): Medium minus aromas of wet stone, ripe apple and slight tropical fruit. In the mouth the wine is off dry, broad on the palate with ripe apple, peach and tropical fruit flavours. Very pleasant indeed.

Aromas of ripe red apple, cream and tiny hints of nutmeg and other sweet spices. In the mouth the wine has zesty acidity with the red apple flavours joined by generic stone fruit notes. There are hints of spritz and a sligthly chalky textured phenolic grip on the mid palate. Lovely and fresh. Still youthful.

Riesling Rampage (Asquith, Australia): Green tinged straw colour. Stone fruit, earth and minerals on the nose. Palate has some delicious sweetness to it but needs some time to develop out of this primary phase.

From Coravin. Aromas of sulphur, spice, cream and slight tropical fruit. Juicy, red apple, spice, a little bit drying on the back of the palate...Hmm.

Lovely wine at the front... red apples, pear, lime, but it lacks complexity and length.

Don't have much experience with German Riesling but this is amazing! Almost like a desert wine but without the sickening sweetness....

Earth, cloves and sulphur to start with, but more minerality with air on the nose. Flat out delicious on the palate, with great balance and carry.

Slate, spice, lime and light florals. Palate has depth while delivering superb focus. Long and delicious.
