Ao início, uma ligeira nuance de princípio de avinagramento, que felizmente se atenuou quase totalmente após tomar ar, fruta já indo embora, vaga lembrança de cerejas, notas condimentadas com sugestão herbácea e sutil mineralidade. Na boca é elegante, de corpo médio, seco, com fruta austera e acidez correta, já um pouco decadente. Ainda agradou, mas possivelmente teria sido ótimo se não tivesse ficado por tempo demais nas (duvidosas) condições de guarda da importadora.

Medium deep red, clear. Cherry, berry with notes of tobacco, leather and, yes, even bay leaf (now that I read the IWC note). Moderately rich for chianti, but still classically styled as this has acid and tannin to balance the wonderful fruit that is, for now, restrained on opening and actually much more apparent on day#3, when this wine is just beautiful. It was a little tannic/austere on opening and has improved over 2 days considerable. This wine needs time. Try next in 2014/2015.

On the nose cherries and black fruits, leather and tabacco. Good structure and power. On the palate a bit austere but combined with food this wine does quite well. It's well worth decanting for at least an hour to soften the wine a bit.

deep red fruits on the nose. Initial attack is red fruits followed by spices. The mid palette and finish are very thin and disappear quickly. However, this pairs well with dark chocolate. The creaminess from the chocolate in your mouth help add a great creaminess to the wine as well as balance out the spice.

DAY 2. dusty medicinal cherry. a deep violet note. on the palate something showing rather purple upfront. stuctured to last quite a few years. rather rosey on the palate, if not quite to potpourri. 2010-2020.

2 hours decant. An unusually light sangiovese, this wine looked more like a pinot noir. Modest nose, but not unpleasant. On the palate the dominant impression was acidity, this is not a typical chianti in any respect. Rather high tannin levels. A strange and unexpected encounter.
Drank with pizza, a surprisingly bad match.

Pop and pour. Started out with a distinct clam shell aroma. Turned to earth and swadust. Cherries and strawberries. Very smooth and steady through the palate. Very earthy.

Light ruby colour. Complex and fresh bouquet of sour cherries, dark plum, fresh blackberry and redcurrant. Mineral notes of licorice. On the palate fresh, mineral and distinctly acidic.

This was lovely with food and featured floral and sweet cherry notes on a medium body with good freshness and length. It presented as polished and elegant without tripping anyone's spoof detector. Excellent.

Federal Wine and Spirits Tuscany Tasting: Lighter in color than the last two. Consistent with the really nice aromatics and red fruits. Lots of fresh cherry juice. Added to this one was some distinct minerality. Almost a saline element. Very nice!

house wine, not strong tannins but high alcohol content and tannic and acid salty sensation on the mouth makes it a touch rough... Red cherries Medium body
