Last bottle was very nice with big fruit and secondary flavors. For those that have this wine I would say it has at least 3-5 more years of prime time.

Lighter bodied than I recalled. Despite 14.5% alcohol has become a somewhat delicate, cherry-flavored wine. Nice acidity. Just past its peak, I think. Does not seems to have the stuffing to last much longer. Very enjoyable. I have one more bottle which I will drink this year.

Phenomenal for its price level. Drank really well within a selection of other Rhone wines, this one stood out. Tobacco, leather, bay leaves, garrigues, still some fruit and lovely minerality and acidity, very lively wine probably at its peak now.

this has finally integrated, the sweet and savory elements working in harmony instead of providing counterpoint. Minerality and balance really coming through on day 2. The baby fat has melted away and the sweetness is diminished. This helps this wine to integrate with the savory oak elements. Excellent length medium tannins.

The wine is drinking beautifully. Pop and pour. The wine is a cloudy deep garnet. On the nose creamy vanilla, cherry and graphite. Big fresh fruit, cherry, spice, licorice, and cassis. Dusty tannin. Medium finish. This wine is a good QPR. I will try to drink my remaining bottles in the next 3-5 years. Should go well with the moose stroganof that is currently simmering on the stove.

Perfectly drinkable southern Rhone blend, almost delicious. Faded after a couple hours. I did not detect the complexity that some of the previous notes recorded. But it's really all you could want from this unpretentious and reasonably priced bottle.

This is fantastic. See notes by others around this date. Mature, round, full immediately after decorking and pouring. After 2 days recorked as strong and vital and fruity. This is great now with all red meat (or game), with only slight seasoning I would prefer. Will hold for many years, but how will it change: get even better?

Consistent with previous note. Gorgeous stuff with big hint towards nebbiolo. Should bring this one to a blind tasting, confident that people will get confused.

I was not a fan of this wine when I tried it a few years back, but it is now coming into its own: a high character, complex, scenty red rhone without the heavy post drink.

Brought to a friend's Thanksgiving Potluck Dinner. Really good and friends liked it. It is drinking well but could use further aging. No formal notes taken but this hascome together nicely. It could still use more time for the mouvedre tannins to further smooth out and for more tertiary elements to develop. Still, this is resolving nicely for the ripe and dark fruit to emerge and shine from behind the tannins. If you are a fan of earthier and more tertiary flavors I would wait a 3+ years for them to develop and emerge.

Very good wine, the mourvedre brings in a good punch and makes the (Southern Rhone) wine nowhere tiring or jammy. By just smelling the wine it has the same leather sensations as a good nebbiolo, while drinking the wine offers dark fruit, some leather, spices, black tea and tannins. Very well balanced wine with certainly 3-5 years more to go.

Very dark red. After one hour decant, rich palate loaded with dark fruit and earth tones.Youthful and balanced, should improve over the next few years.

Might be the best CdR I've ever had. Typical southern Rhone nose, with some complexity on the palate that fans out to reveal a boatload of tar. Fuller bodied than most. Some salt and brine thrown in there too. Good mouthfeel.

Wine Club (Bill's House): Wow, this was fantastic. Super-stinky and tarry, with sausage. I'd expect this more from a CdP in a non-07 year, although the ripeness was there. Great structure. Awesome stuff.

Had at a dinner party, paired with lamb shank stuffed with prosciutto and cheese (pecorino romano). Decanted for about 2+ hours before drinking. - wonderful nose of dark fruit (black cherry, some black currant, blackberry). - palate didn't matsh up with the nose as much as I would have liked. There were moments of good fruit but they were often not as clear as would have liked. I think it needs more time. Moderate, dusty type tannins present. 88 - 89 If flavors matched nose it would have been 91 - 92+

Very deep and rich for a CdR, deepest of the 6 or 7 I have tried of this vintage. Tannin and fruit, strong sweet fruit winning out intermittently but still young and tight. Deep ruby. Good length. A bit overpowering for food at this point, but lots of potential. Leave go for at least a year, although not a waste to open soon.

Please tell me this wine was corked... please!? Poured at a retail tasting, and by the time I had come to it there was only 1/4th of a bottle left. To me, it was noticeably corked. The owner of the shop said him and the other employees had been drinking it and "all loved it." To me it wasn't just the flavors I didn't like, as it was with the other wines here. This one definitely had a moldy cardboard feeling on the nose and heavy on the finish. The mid-palate was fairly bright and acidic, but the finish went back to the funky moldy paper. Not so bad at this stage but definitely the first thing I noticed when I put it to my nose was TCA. This is one of those wines that will just get nasty with its corkedness after a few years. Clearly there was some flawed winemaking in this line up, but this one (I hope!) was just flat out flawed.
