Oh, the nose here is gorgeous. Red fruit and tar and balsamico.
For a wine this young, surprisingly expansive on the palate. While still young, if you have more than one in the cellar, I wouldn’t hesitate to check out a bottle.

Beautiful garnet red, delicate nose with rose petals. Mature notes but still plenty of fruit, energy and intensity. Fine tannins grips the chin and tongue. Very elegant and with a long aftertaste. I think it is at it’s peak now. No need to wait any longer

This was such a pretty wine that spoke with a voice that was without question of Piedmont and the beauty that means. The perfumed nose burst from the glass with black cherries, violets, star anise, and roasted game. The palate with incredibly detailed and fine. Red plums and cherries filled the senses. The tannins were perfectly integrated and there was an internal sweetness of fruit that made this absolutely delicious. I know that this would be good, but I totally underestimated just how good and ready to drink that it was. Wow!

Drank over few hours. Drank in Gabriel Standart. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour with wide garnet rim. Sediments at end of bottle. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of classic roses and tar, earth, dark red licorice. Developed. On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, medium+ alcohol (14%), integrated structured high tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sour red cherries, ripe plum, earth, mushrooms, bits of floral spice and dark red licorice. Hints of savoury soy also that appear intermittently. Long finish. Very good quality. Flavour profile quite straight though, and not as layered and nice as I remember the other 2006 Brovia Garblet Sue, Villero, and Rocche Barolos to be. Doesn't seem like it needs much more age. Drink now with some air. I think this is from the Ca' Mia vineyard which is located in the Brea cru in the commune of Serralunga d'Alba.

Absolutely requires 1hr+ decant. Smooth, silky mouth feel, good acidity. Good fruit of bright cherries with spicy finish. Still young but approachable with good decant. Well balanced. Palette of dark chocolate, mushrooms, and spice.

Dinner with friends, no TN, from memory. Fine nose, in early maturity, not overly expressive, with a certain composure and elegance. The palate also had a similar character, tight and balanced and very precise, particularly on its long finish. It drank particularly well with food. It has several years to go.

This was a big young Barolo with a nice mix of red and black fruits. The tannins were very fine and there was a nice hint of anise on the finish. This wine needs another 5 years to be at its best, but despite its more traditional style, it was very pleasant now.

Awesome - very 06 in a good way. Fully ripe, juicy red fruits and incredible aromatics. Spicy, complex, very stony. Great length and balance, no overripeness or heat.

Excellent Barolo, had it very young and it was big, but still pretty smooth and not overly tannic like some Barolos can be. Good dark red fruit, acid, and tannins for a very nice long finish.

Light rusty red; not much coming from the nose, perhaps some raspberry and wild strawberry; plum, cherry, lean, acidic, licorice, little caramel; some power to it, somewhat special

Decanted for 8 hours, but still smelled and tasted restrained. Great potential wine, but still needs substantial time. Should have listened to Parker's recommended dates!

Balsamic and sweet red fruit. Air freshened it up a bit. Just what you would want in a mature Barolo.

Garnet red, showing some maturity
Nose of red berries and roses, with tar/licorice , very typical Barolo
Meduim bodied with a very good fruit which approaches quite early on the palate and lasts all way back. Smooth tannins and red fruit in the finish.
A really good 2006 Barolo, unfortunately my last bottle
