Don't decant this wine, I saw previous tasters decant it four several hours, don't do this. It's a very delicate wine, in it's prime. Why would you decant it, try it first! The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. There is heavy sediment in the bottle. It smells like raisin, prune, hay/straw, mint, thyme and eucalyptus. It tastes like thyme, oregano, eucalyptus and mushroom. The body is medium/full. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

Decanted three hours. The nose is a little muted but mostly lead pencil and a little red fruit. The palate is fully mature and has entered the secondary phase. Black fruit, lead pencil, leather and herbs this has a reasonably classic palate but feels a bit short and lacking in complexity. Drink up- this is at peak.
Weekly tasting group RWP #345; Some random wines (@ JvdH): Beautifully developed bouquet with autumn and stable smells. On the palate a touch of sweetness, chocolate, tobacco, juicy acidity and a pleasant touch of sweetness. Very complete wine. At its perfect peak NOW!

Even at this point, youthful, tannins right there when PNP, this should be decanted. Different initial impression as it hit the tongue compared to prior two, but not too much bottle variation. First night, a bit brutish, disjointed, but on second night, big, integrated, cedar, a little spicy, rich chocolate. I have pulled this several times because of its age, and because of its low cost, to let some of my other bordeaux rest longer, and I have to stop and give this a few more years at least

Lost track of this case, buried under multiple big boxes. What a great surprise. At a good point, although still youthful and years to go. Cherry, cassis, vanilla, not much secondary yet.

Deep ruby still. Beautiful nose of stony fruits, bitter chocolate, black olives, and well integrated wood. Luscious, viscous, vey not heavy mouthfeel. Rich and deep, but with good focus. More dark chocolate, stony fruits, and olives/ rare meat. An excellent mix of fruit and savory. Excellent balance. Quite long, with plenty of structure and tannins to give this another 5 years at this peak. Outstanding stuff. 92 pts.

Very nice for the vintage. Dark cherry with hints of chcolate. palate is loaded with dark fruit, burt toast and sweet oak. Tannins not fully resolved, once they do I can see this wine increasing a point

This is ready for current consumption. Chocolate covered plums, dark cherries and mocha kick off the perfume. The wine finishes with a velvety display of ripe black fruit. If you have this wine in your cellar, there is no reason to wait to enjoy its charms. While tasty today, I doubt it will improve much from here.
