A bit too late to be drinking this 2007, but I’ve kept it in the wine cellar and it has held up well. Obviously is very mellow now and still has nice berry flavors and a reasonable finish. If not we’ll kept, it would most likely be too far gone, but it held on surprising well.

1 hr decant. The nose on this wine is banging!! Nice legs, full bodied but medium to light on palate, somewhat short dry finish. The taste is nice though. Dark fruits, typical Sonoma wine but with the age gives a nice oak and tannic edge. This is great wine, and I would buy it again but $40 is bottom line ceiling to pay for it. 90-91

Very nice nose of the dark currants, plum and cherry. The palate is very silky with a medium finish. This is drinking at its peak and every aspect is in harmony since the last tasting. Wish I had a few more.

Pw/30 min decant. Clear, deep dark purple, long stained legs. Huge nose flavor profile. This big boy is full in body, intense, classic Sonoma Cab. Good drinking window but will hold yet for years. Better than remembered or expected, eat with steak. Long finish, resolved tannins. Nothing off.

This deep, dark purple/garnet, full-bodied wine has integrated nicely. Plummy aromas and flavors of cherries, currants, leather, tobacco, eucalyptus, and spices, eventually developing whiffs of cigar box and pencil lead. The juicy black fruit center shifts to tart plum skin and granitic minerality on the medium finish. Initially lacks complexity but a little time in the glass allows its components to integrate.

(B) Very solid Sonoma offering, drinking very well right now. Nose still has a fair amount of oak and vanilla, tempered by mellow red fruits. Red fruits up front and all throughout, nicely rounded out with just enough acidity to keep it interesting. I do wish the acidity was a touch higher. Drink now.

375 ml btl. Nice cabernet with black fruit, tobacco and vanilla on the nose and a palate of blackberries, mocha and worn leather on the palate. The finish is full with lingering soft tannins.

Nice toasted oak and rich cabernet fruit in balance, with fine grained tannins that persisted. Lacking some complexity, but a satisfying and well made cab. Will live a number more years, not sure how much it will inmprove.

Nice nose of dark currants, cherry and some plum. Good texture and mouthfeel. Medium finish with good balance. Very nice and drinking well. I think this has some room to get better.

A really nice Cali Cab whose aromas evolved as it opened. Ample typical Cab fruit aromas and flavors, but it's backed by plum, cinnamon, chocolate - sounds like a Christmas cookie but I didn't think it wasn't overly sweet. Really enjoyed it and would buy more. Too bad I bought the last bottle the retailer had.

I've had this wine on many occasions and while it's good, for me, it just does not have the depth / complexity and sustained finish of other Sonoma/Napa Cabs.

Purple/black in color. Black currants with a subtle green herbal tinge on the nose. Medium entry of dusty black & red currant flavors that have a mineral tinge & flow into a bracing acid/tannin finish. Needs a steak to shine. I'm a big fan of this wine & Sonoma cabernet in general. More earth driven & rarely fruit bombs. Nice, but needs time to develop.

Tried at tasting. This wine really surprised us. Rich fruits and vanilla with an excellent body. Completely disagree with WS tasting notes. I almost feel like they were describing a completely different wine.

Popped and poured, intense nose of blackberry, currants and vanilla. Jammy dark berry, cassis and creamy vanilla, very good fruit, a little sweet, some oak but in check. Good juice!!

Dark and red berry, currant, and tobacco aromas with hints of vanilla oak and mocha. Has a fleshy palate, and the oak dominates at present, but has good depth of fruit and lively acidity. Mouth-puckering tannic grip on the finish. Very satisfying but needs time. Decant.

Purple in color. Aromas of red currants with an herbal edge & accented by some mocha & vanilla. Focused, lean entry with sweet red currant fruit flavors & a nice green herbal element. Lovely Sonoma Cab.

Lots of strong, beautiful fruit still left in this wine. Tannins and oak have settled down and are completely integrated. Wonderful right now.
