I served this in my wine course. Surprised to see this is under screw cap, which might explain the intense rubber band style reductive funk on initial opening. But this blew off after 5 minutes to reveal a really nice wine. A touch of volatile acid remained even after the primary reductive funk blew off, but behind that plenty of apricot and ginger in the nose. Rich sweet and spicy mouth, and very long acidic finish with a return of apricot as well as candied orange rind. Very enjoyable and believe this still has a long life ahead as there is plenty of acidity for support.

Lots of apricot notes on the nose along with some background citrus notes and mineral qualities. Between medium and full bodied with really impressive upfront fruit (apricot and white peach), then gaining density through the middle where it takes on more tropical character (pineapple, mango) as well as honey. However, this is all excellently balanced by the vibrant and lively acidity shown throughout. Additional contrast is provided by the tart citrus notes on the backside (especially orange and lemon). The balance between the fruit and acidity is what makes this wine special; the richness of the fruit, contrasted with the zing of acidity make for a very enjoyable bottle. Doesn't have quite the depth or complexity of the impressive 2005, but at this stage, it does have more acidity. Should continue to show well for least the next 5+ years.

Firing on all cylinders and a perfect match for our after lunch apricot tart. Peach, apricot, honey, musk with a medium to long finish. In peak drinking window now probably won't get much better 92-93.

Delicious. Tangerine, orange peel, caramelized apple, honeysuckle, pineapple, mango, peach and some musk. Long finish 30 seconds plus, intense. Does not come across cloying has a fair bit of acidity. Similar to another CT user my wife also loved this wine. Dark gold colour. Given the intensity of the fruit and the bracing acidity it can last for a while and gradually evolve with the score rising. The drinking window above (2012-2019) is way off add another 5-10 years.

Attractive golden color, with aromas and flavors of peach, white apricot, hint of citrus/orange/tangerine. This was very well balanced and not as cloying or sweet as expected. Impressive. I don't see this fading anytime soon. My wife loved this wine.

Minneapolis Wine Club: Double Blind BYOB Event (Shari's House, Mpls, MN): Medium gold color. PNP, drank 1 glass blind over 30 minutes. The nose shows apricot, pineapple, white peach, subtle florals. The palate is quite sweet, apricot, pineapple, apple, lacks supporting acid, light body, subtle spice. This is young and hopefully will take on some weight with time. 89+pts.

Good flavors of mango, pineapple, peaches. Not enough botrytis flavor or enough acid. The sweetness is strong and I wish there were other elements to balance the sweetness.

In Vino Veritas Session 5 (MIT): Yummmmm. Light gold color. *Very* fruity - mango and candied peaches on the pretty ester-y nose with relatively light botrytis. A *lot* of mango on the palate, botrytis and acid on the front, just a little flabby in the mid-palate. Finishes a bit spicy and a little cloying. Delicious, and would be absolutely spellbinding if the acid-sweetness balance was just a little better. 12.5%, $46.

Superb, spot on, typical. The level of greatness I have come to expect with Baumard's wines, and the level I expect in the Loire in general for sweet chenins.

Boytritis tinged nose with light lemon-honey; smooth and elegant; presents nice layer of acidity long with the sweet apricot-honey composition; soft layered finish.

Deep yellow. Botrytis nose. Lush, pure tropical fruit, excellent acidity. Viscous, moderately sweet, tangy finish imparted by the botrytis. This is excellent.

Honeyed apricot-lemon with an acidic backbone; pair it with blue or goat cheese.
