No proper note, served blind - ripe mosel riesling, typical stonefruit and slate, fresh and well balanced. Some botrytis and a bit residual sugar, stylewise somewhat "unclean". Drinknnow and next 5-10 years, very good quality wine, 88p

Dag 1. Rett etter åpning spinkel med mye petroleum. Strammer seg litt opp med luft. Dag 2.

Toller Wein!

golden colour in the glass, some honey in the nose, on the palate still a little bit offdry, shows mineralic flavours, stonefruit, still present acidity, elegant, long aftertaste, not really my style,

Heymann-Löwenstein tasting (AuZone, Stockholm): Bright yellow colour. Minerally nose, slighly smokey notes, wax, ripe citrus fruit and other yellow fruit, some honey, after a while a hint of petrol and some nut. Dry on the palate, very concentrated, mineral, menthol, good acidity, fruit in the background with mostly citrus notes, including zest. Rather young. 92+ p.
In similar to Uhlen B of the same vintage, Uhlen L is clearly mineral. Compared to Uhlen B it is less obviously fruity and more smokey on the nose, more similar on the palate, but spicier and with its fruit notes more citrus-only. The difference between B and L grew with temperature. While much unites the three Uhlen 2007s (B, L, R) in style, in some sense, it is Uhlen L that’s the odd man out in terms of aromas.

German Riesling Seminar Series with Ewald Moseler (Auslese) (Liner & Elsen): On the nose, quite a bit of lemon, and plenty of gravel and other rocks. Really interesting and pleasing. There's some weediness on the palate, which has nice rich and creamy texture, with keen acid and maybe even a little creamy taste. Good lemon fruit candy on the palate... really awesome persistence, and I can keep this in my mouth for up to a minute as the flavors just move around while holding firm; never tiresome. Nice finish, with some burning acid (in a good way), lime rind, and great intensity. An impressive wine!

Rich smoked riesling, some schist and flint. It starts with some initial sweetness on the palate. Medium+ body. Striking bitterness similar to grapefruit in the finish. Medium acid, high alcohol. Very good fruit, but a bit large in the mouth and muted nose. Too expensive with a very strange finish

It's dry and it's good, without being great.

Somewhat flat and shallow (for a Heymann-Löwenstein). I guess this is not in a good phase right now. I have hopes for the future.

Middels dyp gul. Sunn moden frukt på aroma. Fokusert. Litt kjølig. Mineralsk, moden frukt, litt varme. God lengde. 84-86p
