Terrific. Only got better as it warmed. Tons of body and texture. Fills the mouth with hints of tar and black licorice. Long satisfying finish. Shows no signs of going downhill.

Holiday Dinner at Nathan's (Nathan's House - Chicago, IL): A pitch-perfect muscadet that was opened alongside some oysters. Elegant, sweet lemon flavors that were perfectly restrained by the chalky minerality in the wine. Beautiful acidity, and the pairing with oysters absolutely made this taste better and vice versa. Brégeon is one of those producers that I always regret not buying more from.

No real notes. This is really lovely stuff. Aromatically leesy and a bit briney with lemon, oats and subtle honey. Reminded me of an Italian white in its oxidative elements. The palate tells a different story with fresh lemon and pure, vibrant/driving acidity that is fresh and long. This has such beautiful breed for its price. Intellectually my favorite wine of a long night full of very nice wines.

Again, very intense lemony fruit with the slightest trace of ripeness and sugar. Remarkable powdered rock finish. As fresh as can be for a 10 year old wine.

Wish i had saved half the bottle to try again on day2 but 90+degree nyc days have other plans. Chablis like chalkiness, will have to agree that this didnt show 85 months of lees aging as i would have expected, even with about 3hrs of air, nonetheless a delicious bottle.

Fabulous bottle last night, it is still a very young wine, pale color, soaring and quite typical typical Muscadet aromas, and just the right amount of acid. Should drink well for many years. Worked well with fresh pesto made with basil and green onion tops.

Amply acidic with typical varietal flavors of citrus, stone and perhaps melon. Richer than the norm. This tasted more Muscadet-like and less Chablis-like than some of the other Muscadets I have had in the past year with long aging on the lees.

Like Bregeon's standard bottling, with added weight, richness, and fruit (melon and citrus). Really nice balance and persistence. Did good things with broiled trout, asparagus, and mushroom risotto. Beautiful.

Very good, richer style, subtle nose, fresh acidity and the sur lie yeast flavors make this easy to drink. Went great with pan fried scallops, and also with a spinach and garbanzo bean dish seasoned with saffron and garlic. I liked it a lot.

This wine spent 7 years and one month sur lie in a glass lined tank. Very fresh Muscadet maybe a touch less pucker and a tad more zing. Relatively rich for the genre. Absolutely perfect with raw oysters. Overall, Very Good.

Bright & zippy with nice mineral and floral elements. Opened during a backyard BBQ and couldn't have been happier.

Nice acidity and complexity, although less lees-y than I expected. Solid, but would not re-buy. Did not really taste the age.

Loire Wines, Including '07 Joguet Chinons (Terroir Wine Merchant and San Francisco Wine Trading Company, San Francisco): Darker than your usual Muscadet. Citrus nose. Wow, the initial impression is like sucking on white grapefruit rind, but then there are additional layers of richness, excellent persistence, and a powdery, rocky finish. Remarkable wine, pretty head turning for Muscadet.
