Pale, greeny palest straw. Vibrant. Initially some quite rich fruit notes, dialling back to a limey mineral line. Fresh and quite zingy. A faint touch of honeysuckle, but more about a lithe line and energy. ***1/2

World class Chardonnay - do not recall drinking a better NZ example - almost light and ethereal in its elegance, a truly graceful wine. Drank with prawn risotto and really made a nice accompaniment.

Served blind. Light yellow color, suggesting a not so concentrated wine. Reduced at first and in contradiction to visual inspection, the nose develops after a while clear Chardonnay scents with a strong lime component in the background of the very fruity and intense nose. The wine is powerful but very well balanced, still monolithic but should evolve in something interesting (if the screwcap closure lets that happen). Average length.

Thought this wine was called Bannockburn Chardonnay, but could only find the 2010 vintage and onward under that name. Trying to add the 2009 vintage just sent me to this wine. Anyways, the note is for the "Bannockburn".
Light green with yellow reflees. Slighly sweet, fruity notes on the nose. Hints of perming liquid and wet wool. Some minerals vie for attention. On the palate sky high, greenish acids followed by a somewhat strange fruit dominated by kiwi and strawberries. Doesn't feel quite clean, a bit funky. The best part are the minerals - stony and smoky. The finish is more flint and smoke, but also a bit sour. The next day it shows a bit better, but not much.
Frankly, a disappointment.

Not my bag really. Fruity not too sweet Chardonnay but quite a short finish and lacking the minerality I look for in a White. Quite one dimensional but I can understand who others may enjoy

As ever, sadly for Burgundy, another reason why Chardonnay at this level in NZ is so much more attractive than in Burg. Delicious.

beautiful wine - made for an interesting comparison with Rustenberg wine drunk soon after - really good depth of citrus and melon.

Decent NZ chardonnay. Brioche notes. Stone fruit, minerals. Fresh palate, zippy acidity with buttery hazelnut flavors.

Pretty good bergundian style NZ chard if a little pricey

Clear pale gold, watery rim, reasonable tears. Clean, med intensity, cat pee, fresh cut grass, lemon, white peach, aniis
Perfect acidity, no tannins, med- body, med+ intensity, nose flavours + ash, slight cedar, fantastic long finish, nice complexity, layered
