  • Sans charme, de la structure mais contrit, monolithique et terne. Du cuir -on reconnait iben le mourvedre- de la salinité, mais aucue complexité. Pas mon style de Bandol.

  • Mourvèdre 95% and Grenache 5%.
Perfectly cellared. Good level of wine and cork was in really good condition. It still has really deep color with hint of brick. Nose has dried fruits along with some graphite, cedar and forest floor. Really reminds me of the seductive aromas that mature Bordeaux has. Palate is just perfect for my taste. There is certain type of lightness to it but also has nice acidity and tannic structure. On the palate there's sweet dried black fruit, leather and spices. Medium long dried fruit aftertaste. No need for further aging. You don't usually associate Bandol with drinkability but this really hits the spot! Fantastic with grilled sirloin steak.

  • Animalistic and wild on the nose with notes of blackberry, date, garrigue and wet leaves. Complex and captivating, wow. Quite mouth-filling with gripping tannins and high acidity. Dry and savory with a nicely developed profile. Plenty of ripe black fruit, no extra fat. Bright, powerful and authentic. For my palate would have been even better five years ago but nevertheless it has aged gracefully and is still very much alive.

  • Trop vieux, le gout est fade.

  • Interesting I should pull the cork within 2 weeks of Terkel. Definitely an oxidized orange color and initally quite acidic and tannic. With time, I came to like it quite a bit. I found sweet generous fruit towards the end of dinner with some cherry. It is time to drink up. Better than the regular bastide blanche 98 I had 2 weeks ago.

  • Left bank Bordeaux: I'm not entirely sure if this bottle was off. Its color was a browning red. The nose seems oxidized with prunes and brown sugar. The taste has strong tannins and aicidity, but again the fruit seems oxidized. After a couple of hours it seemed like it might turn around for the better, however it never managed to convice that it was suppose to be this way.
